seven a bantamweight title fight between dominique wooden and nathan fletcher lads how are we doing doing very good thanks for joining us thanks for joining us live this is going to be the most talked fletcher or dominique woody ross take it away but uh dominic i'm going to start with yourself what does it mean to you to fight for the cage warriors bantamweight title yes um obviously means means a lot obviously basically being with cadre is the golden ticket to obviously get signed by the ufc you get what i'm saying so yeah obviously you see it's obviously a big deal do i mean obviously for nathan as well it's a big deal as well as myself jeremy so means a lot jeremy do you think this uh cage warriors trilogy series will have more eyes on it than ever after seeing uh paddy pimlet explode on the ufc that more people are going to make sure that they're watching cage warriors now because that's where the european tunnels are coming from and don't forget you ain't gary i need gary's help yeah for sure for sure obviously ever ever everyone's got their eyes on cage to be on this journey so obviously obviously with paddy blowing up the other week obviously she's going to bring more eyes to cage i mean seeing see what other tenants are going to be coming through jeremy so it's going to start starting next week i mean nate what about yourself what does it mean for you to compete for the cage warriors banter my title yeah obviously it means everything to me to be honest this has been like the real first big milestone in my pro career has always been to fight for the cage warriors title and since i started fighting amateur a lot of my amateur fights were on cage warriors and all my pro fights have been with the promotion and so it's definitely it means a lot to me to to be fighting for the belt now and to be honest it's come quite quite early on for me in my career i've only been broke two years and ran through everyone in the roster and i'm already fighting for the cage where he's built so i'm made up and i can't wait to get in there next week and dominic obviously nathan's very well known for his grappling prowess and he's got five finishes by uh submission what have you done to prepare for nathan's grappling style obviously we've we've we're obviously gonna uh we've obviously worked another fire obviously what he's gonna try and do together what i'm saying it's not like he started he styles not something that i've never come up against i mean like most most guys that i've faced have been grapplers jeremy so he star was nothing new to me do you mean so like whereas he's never come up against a a prolific striker like myself like obviously everyone knows me as a striker but it was like you said mma at the end of the day anything can happen yeah i mean i can go in there obviously he's never come up against a fighter like me do i mean so obviously he's been built up through cajun through damage um for his amateur career and obviously pro career and obviously i've i've been around the block jeremy and i've been around a block from amateur to approach i mean so reading truly it's like obviously this is obviously a big fight but it's not like in terms of shows obviously it's not the biggest show that i've fought so obviously like i've been there done that kind of thing i mean whereas he hasn't yeah i mean so this is like uh kind of like a big step up from do i mean so like i've really been i've already been in this type of spotlight i mean he hasn't so like this is like normal to me i mean like you fought for the title before on a big show what what titles have you fought for i thought do you fight for the world title though yeah for the world title against andy young on bama okay fair enough well i thought on cage what is my whole career so i don't really see it as a massive step up in in in level for me or you know an occasion obviously bellator's a bigger show than cage rose let's let's be real here bellator's a bigger show than cage but obviously cadres have got to connect to ufc do you get what i'm saying so bellator as well so joe i mean i've been i've been i've fought in big arenas and stuff like that he like he hasn't yeah i mean my favorite one of my favorite venues i'll tell you why because all my facts in your court everyone gets finished and that's what's happening next week nathan i'm excited boys absolutely nathan er obviously dominica put something to you there you've never fought anyone like him he finishes all his fights uh by knockout and also i want to touch on do you think he's ever fought a fighter like you because he seems to think he's fought people with your saw before no he definitely hasn't done i mean he's never fought anyone like me and also all right so you tell me what grappler that i've not faced that's kind of like you don't mean like but i'll start the crap listen your style is not is is not like something that i've never come up against you i mean so well neither do you have never you've never come against a striker like me do i mean i train with a striker like you all the time i train with liam malloy he's the best striker he's the best softball striker liam malloy featherweight liam malloy you'll see he's fighting on the next gauge he's the best he's the best softball striker in uk in my opinion so all right i train with him day in day out that's cool that's cool but listen i'm not i'm not your teammate i'm dominic wooden i'm someone else you've been fighting on bellator mate i'm 6-0 undefeated no one's ever beat me yet so what gives you the right to think you're there all right all right there you go you're undefeated yeah yeah you've not been through the trials and tribulations i've been through from my career yeah obviously listen i've been there before you've been on your undefeated and whatnot yet of course you're going to come with the confidence and whatnot yeah that's expected of course but in your pro career you've not come you've not had a hiccup yet and this is where your hiccups start so the thing is with me saying that i'm not saying that coming from a bad angle i'm saying that that's going to make you a better fighter do you mean so obviously you're going to have your first hip hop in your pro career next week i don't think i will but nice one for that anyway thank you is this the first time you've gone five rounds um what difference does preparing for a five round fight make for you for this fight yeah this is uh my first five round flight uh honestly speaking um it's obviously just work work working the same job i mean like obviously every fight we work we we obviously work towards getting our fitness as as as high level as we can do i mean whether it's three rounds or five rounds yeah that means so but in terms of uh doing a five-round fight yeah this is my first one and nathan how's your training going for a five round fight obviously you've never done five rounds before either no yeah this is my first round first five round fight as well but i feel like i prepared perfectly for it i'm always pushing the pace in all my fights i think five rounds suits me better to be honest than three rounds because i think i'll come on strong later in the fight anyway just down to you know how good my gas tank is so i forgot i've got no worries about being a five-round fight as opposed to a three-round fight the only difference is in my snc sessions the workouts have been a little bit longer a little bit more geared towards 25 minutes rather than 15 and then obviously all me sparring i've been doing the cage that's been five rounds as well so we're prepared well and i'm ready ready to go ross obviously when this voice was announced we were straight on to each other we were like even someone's getting knocked out or someone's getting choked out and it's not one of us too but russ what do people have to expect to see the lads fight for the bantamweight title on cage warriors 127 thursday september 30th next week look this is clearly the two best bantamweights on the cage warriors rosters there's absolutely no doubt about it i think the fight made itself and i think we actually broke the news that jack carter was able to contract with cage warriors and there was no other two bantamweights to put in this total fight and look dominic wooden finishes every single win he's ever had he knocks them all out his last um knockout was an absolute viral sensation he was one of the stars of the trilogy series and you know what you get with nathan fletcher every time he's coming in there he's trying to be a backpack on your back and take your neck so i'm very much looking forward to this for you i think it has the potential to be absolute fireworks and i'm excited to see where it take takes place and who can impose their will yeah exactly uh nate and i have a question for you as well obviously paddy paddy pimples after blowing up from your gym now like what how does that sort of make you feel now going in for your world total debut fight next week unknown like people are keeping an eye on next gen to see what's next and obviously matt's there as well carrying around the middleweight toilet looking to maybe drop down to welterweight as well like how does that feel now in the gym for yourself yeah obviously it's boss you know what i mean the gym is flying at the minute i think ever since the last cage royals trilogy when matt won the belt there's been like an unreal atmosphere in the gym and then obviously that was carried on through paddy and molly and their performances in the ufc the other week i think it was kind of like a next-gen takeover that ufc vegas you know i mean he stole the show definitely and then he's seen what's happened to paddy he's blowing up on social media he's famous now and he likes helps he's only putting more eyes on me and on my face you know what i mean so that's perfect for me i'm ready to step into the spotlight now that he's going to give me with all obviously his new fan base and they're all going to be on my hype train as well after this fight next week so perfect timing and dom how's things been for yourself now on the build up to the toilet fight next week yeah everything's been going through jeremy like my preparation has gone smooth done everything right left no stones unturned don't mean so obviously like uh before my last fight i made a switch up and um ever since then i've been doing everything correctly join me so up until now so obviously that's gonna obviously continue and obviously you're gonna you're gonna see through my um performance next week do i mean obviously dom something that you have touched on and something that is very uh apparent because cage warriors is on ufc fight pass is that you know cage warriors does hold the golden ticket to the ufc i think they've had 108 fighters or something signed from cage warriors the ufc would you have any interest in defending a cage warriors belt or do you think you know the belt is literally the golden ticket to the ufc and that that's where your next fight will take place do you know honestly speaking to be honest um i already messaged nathan like after my last one i told him i'll be seeing him soon anyway i mean um honestly speaking i thought i was gonna get one more fight then fight for the title in december but obviously it comes soon at the right rather than later so obviously now get this belt defended december get two solid finishes let's just say and um i can't see why ufc wouldn't wouldn't want to sign me for the new year do i mean and nathan what about yourself do you do you think um after thursday what is the 30th of october or september do you do you think that's that's that's the last time you'll step foot in the cage warriors cage i don't know to be honest i'm not really i'm not really too fussed i'm just looking at this fight i'm not looking past it at all so all my focus is on the 30th and winning that belt like i said that's the first big milestone in me pro career that i've wanted to achieve since i got into mma so all my focus is on that and then whatever happens next i'm ready for it if it's the ufc 100 i could go and compete with the best in the world now at my weight class uh if it's another cage one of these fights another cage always fight i don't mind i'm still young still 23 so like i said all i'm asked about is winning that belt next week and then we'll take it from there also what did you say back to dominic's air dm on instagram or twitter or whatever it was well don what it was was he put a story on he tagged me in it saying something like you know these guys don't want to fight me so i replied saying i'm fighting for the belt next me mate tell me i don't know about you like and then he said something along the lines of yeah i'll be seeing you soon so i said sweet your time will come and that was it was just a yeah that was about it that was about it i told him listen i'll be seeing you soon he told me he's fighting for the belt i said i'll be seeing you soon and i was just trying to get a fight with his other teammate liam but obviously liam was just being being quite like a mice you know i mean so until ian dean told me that he's moving down to flight so obviously i was thought to myself eating my lunch i mean so obviously this opportunity comes to obviously jump right on it do i mean what you passed do you think this is a bit of a real recognizing reel here these are the two s135ers well that's what we have to do myself and ross we do this for free of enjoyment and passion and love for the support and the second we saw this we were trying to arrange it straight away you boys obviously know that so having us on you guys deserve these platforms to promote these fights for the fans that you have to eventually make the bigger step into the bigger leagues again like this is what everyone needs in order to grow and that's why we had to get to two years on as well and i love how how sound you've been to each other i'm sure you won't be next thursday but it's uh it's like everyone's buzzing for it now that's why did this this is the one not to be missed next week no there's a right there yeah spot on it's obviously a good platform to come on and promote the fight and just get more people talking about it and i thought you say he's hyped enough anyway i think me and dominic are the two biggest names in the bantamweight division in cage royals like you said so i think there's already going to be a lot of eyes on the fight but anything like this we can do to bring more attention to it it's only going to benefit our careers so appreciate you boys getting us on definitely yeah uh can we just can i just ask as well the two years lats uh obviously some fans are going to the event next week like um for people that are tuning in that probably don't know how to either follow yourself nate or follow yourself don't make you first how can people like make sure they come and watch the if you want event watch the event they've got to buy a ticket obviously from cage already the link is there on the cage or his website with the thursday night so make sure you buy the right one i've had a few people message me and say i've bought the wrong night i said tough throughout here you have to get a refund there and try and buy the thursday night but uh yeah we'll just go both nights we'll just go both night yeah go on tree like it's a trilogy bro i love these yogurts as well but not obviously the thursday night's the main one that's the one you want to be getting and and yeah everyone who wants to come down and follow and follow all the hype leading up to the fight and stuff follow my speaking like my boy tweeted it after the other double week obviously like he's obviously a good rapper listen like we ain't i i i'm not i'm not being dumb here he's not being dumb here he obviously knows what the what task is at hand i know what task is at hand joe i mean like we both know what we're gonna try and do he can obviously try to take me down try to take my back and try and get ready to choke he knows i'm gonna he knows i'm looking for the finish i mean obviously we're both looking for the finish but in different ways japanese kind of thing so obviously like he's obviously he's a good prospect coming up but he's he he's not had he's not had his childhood tribulations yet i haven't it's my time now i mean now i'm doing things every now i'm doing things correctly it it's going to show next week i mean and obviously he's going to have his first hit cut next week and obviously it's only going to make him a better fighter yeah i mean like listen i've got nothing against the damn kids do you mean but i've just gotta destroy anyone that's in my wage i mean like i said in like recent interviews i'm pissed off in a good way you know i mean because i was a bellator also i'm getting paid okay compared to cage roy's and now i just want to get back on a big show don't mean and get paid again i mean but obviously the title fight obviously title means everything and obviously like i said golden ticket to ufc jumping so next week all you're going to get from me is violet money violent money straight out from next week i mean so everyone knows what i'm everyone knows what i'm what what what what what i'm trying to do here i mean um and fletch what do you admire about dominique obviously uh he's got that 100 finish right um have you actually fought someone who is as violent on the fee well actually he's got 100 finished trading all his wins he's actually lost four fights as well so don't be going on like he's somehow undefeated 100 finish rate that's what i am doing i mean i'm 6-0 with 100 finish right let's not forget that and then tom says that i've not been through my trials and tribulations but i think if you look at my career i've fought tougher opponents than yes the combined record of my opponents uh coming into this fight is 26 and four i think and i've finished every single one of them and trials and tribulations losses which i i haven't lost yet no but i've had i've had it i've had it tough in the cage i fought with food poisoning uh in my fifth fight where i literally had  all fight day i was spewing all day and i think that's a pretty big trial and tribulation to overcome so just because our trials and tribulations have been different i've managed to overcome mine and still get the win in the cage and dom hasn't so that's the difference between us but is what is he saying it's going to be my first hiccup it's definitely not going to be i'm going to go out there and win the belt next week and finish him but obviously like he said yeah i'm not an idiot i know what he brings to the table i know he's got power plans and he's just he's a good striker but i've faced good strikers before um if you look at all my finishes if you look all my finishes most of my finishes come through precision it looks like i'm not even throwing power don't mean so you give me that little opening it'll be the start of your ending very quick i won't give it your mate don't worry okay we'll see buzzer are you are you sitting there eating your popcorn getting ready for this one i've got about 10 packets before this for the
