[Applause] We're here. I have the Fars brothers. Um, it's the end of the inaugural uh, Forest Fighting Championship. Um, Mr. Fufu Fars and I'm sorry, your name is >> Abanu. A >> sorry, I think it's our first time meeting you. So, pleasure to meet you, sir. Great to meet you again. Um, congratulations on the evening. Just talk talk to us about like what was what was it like kind of like to to put this event on. >> Like we've experienced everything in MMA. Like we've experienced wins, losses, from fighting to coaching each other, a whole lot, but we haven't experienced but not an event. We just did. And honestly, from my side of it, I think this was unbelievable. Like this is our first event. This is only the beginning of FFC 1. Um, we're only getting bigger and better and I just can't wait for it. Like, what do you think? >> Yeah, 100%. Like, like this is our first event and you see how big it was. Put it that way. >> Yeah, it was great. Like, um, the venue is I think this venue is fantastic. >> The venue, it was a great spot. >> Yeah. >> Um, a great crowd turned out as well. Yeah. >> Um, >> the the fight card itself, uh, there I love the the mix, you know, he had the the jiu-jitsu at the beginning. Uh then you had the Muay Thai K1. Um and then you ended on the MMA. Um so like h how difficult was it for you to kind of put together the the card? >> Like I think it was tough like it is tough running an event, an MMA event. >> Not not going to lie about that. It is tough event, but I think >> when you have minds like myself or my brother and we like >> we make it look easy. >> We make it look like when we put our minds to something >> Yeah. We do it right. >> You get it. >> Regardless if it's like boiling in a cage, doing these mad runs or any any stuff that crazy stuff we do. When we leave our minds on something, we're going 100% and we go all the way. And you just seen it tonight. >> Heck yeah. Um, so like when when you're when you had the idea that you want to put on a show like this and then uh you know obviously like uh you need to have fighters for it like uh how do you how do you kind of pick and match uh fighters together uh you know for your show? >> Yeah, like it is difficult especially for a first event because some some people are like a bit curious like is this event going to be good? Is the event going to be bad? So, first of all, like I'm I'm really thankful for all the coaches that actually put forward their fighters. Like, without them guys, this event wouldn't have happened. >> Yes. >> Um, so we just got a good list of fighters. We matched the fights that we think was was good >> and we went from there. But I have one question for you. So, Bua Fight Wear, >> they're G they're doing fight of the night bonus. >> Okay. >> Don't ask me. >> They're giving away two gloves. They're giving away two gloves. The fight of the night winner and loser. Yeah. Who do you think the fight tonight was? >> Oh, good lord. It's tough. So, don't judge me out there because I didn't get to see every single fight. All right. Um, >> you know, the main event was fantastic. Uh, it was it was uh uh, you know, two heavyweights, you know, just kind of going at it. Um, honestly my my favorite fight and the fight that I I found uh most interesting to me was and I I feel terrible I can't um the ladies the >> kickbox versus Ava Jess. Jess I I thought that was a that was a fantastic fight. Jess was a she's a dog man. She was in there like and and then like she's no offense to her. She's tiny. Yeah, she's weight. That's 48 weight and uh um uh her opponent there, she's quite tall and she was able to slip right in there, get it like >> for me that was fighting that that was a great fight. It was very entertaining. Um and it it was it was it was fun to watch and I think she killed it. >> Yeah, I would agree. I think there's there's a couple of spots for fight night. We're going to leave the fans choose that themselves. >> We're going to do an Instagram poll. Whoever the fans think it was, they win the tickets or they win the the gloves. It honestly, it's a pleasure for you coming. It's been an amazing night of fights. Like >> I'm I'm honestly just the event being done. I'm really >> I was still shook. >> Yeah. >> I'm like, we got we got through this. Like >> what what was the most kind of like the most difficult part of this? Cuz I know like the um just in general everything >> setting up the bloody cage. >> Setting up the cage. I would say the last 48 hours. >> The last 48 hours have been crazy. everything's kind of coming together almost like oh it's really happening we got to do this and >> not more not the oh we got to do this it's more like >> we had so much like duties and tasks to do okay >> but we we had a great group of friends that helped us during that time then so big shout out to them of course the referee Derek and his whole team the cuts team um I know Brian and the whole lot of like all these people >> without them too we wouldn't have been able to event so it's a big shout out even to yourself >> all of us like it's a whole community of MMA and we're really grateful that we have this community in MMA and we had this event like >> this is unbelievable. >> Right on. Um so like what what's Okay, so you you put your event on, it's done, it's over with now. Uh like I know the the dust hasn't quite settled yet, but um as of right now, like like what's like what's the takeaway that you're going to you know use for the next one? Like what's something you're going to you're going to aim to improve on? You have anything in mind? >> Get more people in the venue. >> Yeah. >> Put it to that 100%. Okay. >> I think I think we I think can definitely handle it. >> Yeah. We can do it well. We can handle it. And even even the structure and this process we have in place is really good. I just think we got to aim bigger next time. >> Put more fights on, sell more tickets, you know, get more people in, put some good quality fights in as always. Keep that atmosphere lit as always. Like the atmosphere in there. Like I I I'm actually wrecked from how much fun I've had in there. Genu genuinely. you had I had so much fun in there >> that that it's say it's it's a testament to uh kind of how well you put in all the work before today because there's plenty of promoters that on the day of they're just pulling their hair out because you know just you know things aren't lining up or just whatever you know whatever but if you're able to kind of relax actually enjoy yourself for the day that's a testament to yourselves for for doing it or for putting on this show. Um, I would like to say you one, thanks for having me. Two, thank you for putting on a show in Ireland because like the country desperately needs it that there's so many fighters out there that kind of need u like these regular uh uh occurrences of uh or these regular events, you know, uh so that that way they would that way they can get the experience they need to, you know, go on to to pro or go to whatever it is they're doing. Um and it's such an expensive gamble. >> Yeah. um for promoters to to put on an event like this. So seriously, thank you uh for doing that because uh you know, it gives me some something to come down and uh to see and uh you know, do all my business on and then it gives uh uh Irish fighters um >> a platform to showcase their skills.
