okay welcome to our friend mr. yes we actually had on the show a few years ago with milky and a lot of things have changed man a lot of things have changed for people we were all actually a school together and everything I have a ponytail oh yeah man have a shades head [Music] I just stopped shaving it around three years going just I got a chopped every so often a little lean chassis Oh Arthur yeah Brian when I saw that you put an announcement there on Instagram the other day saying you're doing a gig this weekend at Saturday for charity I was like right we have to get brought on this week to help and promote it so here we got it before you get into everything can you just say you exactly what's going on some people can check it out yeah I did playing in Whelan's on the 4th of April but obviously with everything that's been going on I am I just did I do the live stream on Instagram it's just got a really good following an average of 160 people watching it I think by the end of our tails and people would watch it all together so I just said I'll deal with little requests gig so you can go onto my Instagram and leave me a comment until tomorrow so only the end of today really and give me whatever kind of a song you'd like me to play and I'll have a lack of it we'll have a bit of fun on a day on a Friday Jack and Jill so Jack and Jill is just a foundation that helps helps families with disabled children basically and like my girlfriend's a nurse and she works with her family in fameless' and there so basically just to give some other a bit of support em and it's just that funding has been just completely ripped apart by Calvert so we just said we will they will get as many em we get as many people watching and donating as possible like in this I forget here what is now but someone's asked me to do away by a b-girl and they're gonna donate a hundred or so things like that are really gonna help this charity you know Green I think greener said something but then someone else tagged me saying they're gonna they're gonna do or hundred euro I think someone said it wasn't a p.m. Saturday and it's it's all it's just for charity so just like donate a fiber donate I want to quit donate whatever you want like whatever you can spare does like these families like they they they have all their chills and then some like some of them others have like their own medical problems and that's why they have a nurse come in for a couple of hours two or three times a week so they can go through their appointments some things like that so I am so just really helps people and especially at the moment but it's just it's just a really good charity and it's on the percent nonprofit organization like it just goes to pay qualified nurses to look after children based leader in it and it goal set to help these children get restfully and help to help the families and and raise race raised forms for like vital equipment and like I think the boy more year my girlfriend looks after I think there's a carry needs and it's like anything it's like two grand eighteen hundred or something for this special chair and it's just like they just don't have the money for it sound like things like this will obviously help for that look yeah we think all charities are now really badly hit like no doubt filled a this year to be no joy women attending marathon I mean I know there's like a daffodil day if you know me like all these all these charities are all mussaf yet so like I suppose you provide a great source of entertainment them you know and raise money for both cars well that's that's that's that's to be able to laugh like a lot of ascii a lot of my friends were doing parodies and a lot of people don't know are sending me pictures of them honest the umpire do you having a drink and just having the craic so that's why we said we do the cool resistive phone so I can just sing along to them and just have a bit of a laugh I'm Malucci gone Channel today I don't actually have a huge amount I got a lot of likes and alone of comments but everyone's like can't wait streaming in yesterday in 15 or 20 because I'm getting a lot of direct messages as well so I probably won't be able to get them all learned for them Lauretta going but like when I saw that honestly I was that like I was he were friends from from a long time for a long time I was like here look anything we made myself a Ross can do to help like we have to get you on this week you know I mean there's all point again on next week when that this is already come and gone people need my help now you know so what to do is great saying this is also gonna great on Friday so people are watching it now it's Friday for there Brian I'll see like your voice and your look is just like suddenly it's out there like people like they lubricated to take attention the way you're seeing is amazing for like hello this I'll start for people that don't actually know and start with me and to my good friends bull scan at the agent was twelve or thirteen first second year and that's how we made money giant scale we went bulking and then me inform we best friends we started a band and skill it all started in skill at the Battle of the Bands and then we played for we actually had like four years I suppose we play for finally got really good experience from that and it was just a lot of fun and then I just started kind of an acoustic project myself about a year after that and like when I did that for a while and got a bit pissed off because I wasn't feeling that many gigs and gigs I was playing I was I was the support that's because you're an acoustic that so you're always going to be on if there's bands you can't put a band on then an acoustic guy then a band so was I'm gonna be me on an eight o'clock playing into fifteen to twenty people and then by the time the bands came on the place was packed and everyone was drunk and having a great time so kind of just got a bit a bit annoyed by that and just just stopped and just focused on right and then for it for a good few years and then yeah just there decided I'd put a gig on a bill tree is gonna suppose and yeah I've got a great reception because I was heading playing solo at a place called the Adele fee and I'll be sweetened oh yeah I put his 280 tickets on I 188 in the end because it was a stragglers at the end wants to go so I sell that out and like a week and I was over me on those brilliant and then um I got a I had like two my friends play it instantly play a drum and bass for the last three or four songs that gig and then I said with the wheel and we'll we'll see her ACOs and that went really well I got a full band for that then and then after the Whelan's gig we just decided we they like work on a lot of the songs that I have written over the last however many years and we just picked the best couple and do do an EP and then we just decided be doing an album so we kind of just work hard for about six months and hey yeah I've really fun like oh just bring songs that they had down play them play the melody play the structure give them to give them the cards and then like I don't play drums I don't play bass I'm not particularly good guitar so more yeah the musicians that were to me just put their stamp on the songs and we just we just there we made it a you made a really really cool album and then which I'm hoping to get some songs released from and in the in this year and so yeah it was it was it was kill and we just they're like the drummer cool friend million guys basically said look at the set what they were poor like the focal point has to be your voice on it he's like that's on point and we've been in rock we've been in rock n roll bands where the music is this so like it's very much the music is very interesting in this on this album for the like we wanted it to be more vocal and we melodies are what really pierced through and I think we have actually we've achieved like the first the first day single release Loretta and that's actually not on yeah no it's not gonna be on the album the album is there's nothing like Loretta the album is very soulful album and still there's a lot there's a lot of catchy stuff that will hopefully be well-received by the radio stations for their and their Ella just was - I don't know it was it was it was a really good one to start it off yeah you told us earlier have massive success in the church yeah yeah went to numbers went to number two and now a challenge chats the only am the only song the bed it was Lady Gaga had a song out the same day and she hadn't released the song in like four or five years and I was at a wedding and Donnie got everyone just kept going off to being like actually wasn't fair Lady Gaga was like thank you for coming second to the one of the biggest female stairs up stairs of all time and he was just I was born and this is our first thing as she's released since that sound like I was over the moon with that and then it went to number one and the Rock and Roll chariots as well and oil and so I was unbelievable so I was really happy with that and there yeah I didn't think it was I didn't think it was gonna be received as well as I had got it cocktails and streams are named Spotify any happy with it considering we find our own Ephraim I ordered it on my Instagram my facebook we didn't do any any big emotional fur we didn't do a music video for we just wanted to get it out there and just just have like have a good song at the start of the area just to kind of kick the door in and there people really liked it so I was really happy with it it's a great it's a great lawyer it's a great live sound two pages full of energy and it's good for getting those social chairs like it was so well shared in social media and I suppose that's sort of a credit to head world the song as itself and then obviously he was a person so I mean like I think anyone who had what's called ever me too but we know it's a soft spot for you I mean you're actually she was a likable person thanks very much but yeah it's true I have to say the same for the two is [Music] but I don't know it's just fine I've always just been noise to people like my friends and say my worst like my good friends will say one of my worst attribute is like that oh you gave you I try and just be sound to everyone like don't get me wrong with if I think you're if I don't like it I won't try and be sound here but hmm like if I meet you and you seem like a sound person I'm just gonna be sound in people just kind of like me and I don't know quite causally some people like giving me hugs and they say me so I work like like I can see people sharing at all time absolutely obsessed with it yeah yeah no it's really killed like I've guarded him I've got some really like I've got some really great friends that just push my music up me as well and they get all their friends to listen and lo you can share and then it just I'm just kind of low-key that they're friends that they've got too low you can share having and then they've told their friends so low you can share and that's going to hell I suppose that the whole like the song went self successfully and like gigs are gone well and and people are kind of I don't know they're enjoying the music because it's really because we friends that really supported me I got their friends to listen to it and their friends to this new on their friends let's do it men I suppose that's how everyone starts like yeah well the thing is the thing is it means they actually do like it as well because like people won't actually just share it just cause they like it the Australian because they like it the product as well what to pull now but like a pro as well you're like absolutely grinding away in the background as well doing like you should like performs as all the time as well you're not just like sitting in your room it would just pull them apart putting their songs out you're really like sharing your craft yeah well like I am I don't I haven't been doing that many original gigs I do a lot of just like form pop gigs and it's it's I've always I've always asked and don't poke just just fart phone and I really enjoy it like because you kind of get everything you get people up dancing you get people telling you your show and then yeah you always get that which are your eyes oke I'll need about two years ago bought a PA I've been painting Forbes for since I'm 16 so like you're talking 10 years basically we're down a PA and sometimes I borrow a PA or like this pubs were well they just played just with a guitar and a cappella and like when I when I bust on the streets it was always a cappella and you have to be heard so it really did teach me to project my voice and when you're in a packed pub and no one's listening but you're still playing away you just you dread you're able to drown out the noise of drunken and then you'll have people come over to use whatever you like I really like that song you'll have like I've had people tell me I ruined their noise voicing in the pub I've had people like go for me in pours and like you just get so la before I go I have a very thick skin there would just be a look if someone doesn't like it I'm playing in a pool when someone's like I show it I'll just be like if we just say music music for me and just looking at people do Loic what I do 99% at a time like I love getting trolled on the Internet Oh actually you're seeing someone who all you know do I know they didn't hang around our so foreground skill Jeremy look I'm like yes I love that skill it's just kill just random us random people just like I don't know like just like even on YouTube like I don't know anyone who has a youtube account obviously loves people do like you just get followers on YouTube and people saying really nice things from all over the world and then you have people saying like horrible things is where like I didn't I saw my forget this comedian he's he's really fat comedian and people I didn't know such and such good seeing and all that enosis laughs lawfully and people being like oh  mmm like that's the very small minority like probably 1% of people won't like it like will will have comment on things like that but I think I don't like yeah I always gonna have people that giving it giving it about what you're doing like yeah I did an Elvis core and thanks a lot that was that was just a bit of a freak of a song like that was one of the first times I properly played that version of it I just worked out so noisy book really wait some people because I didn't get like if you actually look at the video I'm looking at the lyrics um I had a piece of paper on the guitar and I'm playing down there actually looking at the lyrics and the loans people mean like like what what's he dealing with the cards and he can't seem like the king and briefly you and I just did this for the crack and people give a notebook I think that kind of means it's working like if people love me and then there's a couple people hating it there's always gonna be that's all just no you make some care well maybe learn exactly the support the people give me I don't know you know yourself well they have talent enjoy it see it is unbelievable to be honest for them over the last water like glass well since we've had you on the show like if a couple years going you know like we've seen you progress and like you become better and you sharpen your skills and like I like this cake I was meant to go on wins that that didn't go because of what the situation I felt I feel like that's gonna be a really big coming-out party and then like I think that like day things are even half of it like I think you have it all now you know yeah thanks very much yeah it's a look it's a pity about doing cake and the summer festivals which always help them to do a lot of em home ahh what's your I'm kicking the can down the road I mean worse it would have been worse if you had like sort of started then when you need that push the time yes like the Whelan's gig is is rescheduled for him to 29th of august so hopefully that will go ahead and yeah that was on like the Whelan scale I didn't I didn't expect it at all like do another Wieland's gig I haven't played a headliner gig by the time this kid came around I think that would have been nearly three years but yeah nearly three years I think because I've just from working on the album getting a ROI right in the music from old know pave the album with the album's like tails into your my like you know so it's all self-funded am so like we just said we will get this right and we will get the gig sorted and like yeah it's all doubt in like three days which was unbelievable to me like priests like pre selling tickets and that there are government in three days and like I think they're the early birds like the two rounds of the early bird tickets were gone in less than an hour each and I think that's why the main tickets kind of just flew out there and yeah it was it was class was over the couldn't believe it goes I won't go like whatever two days and there was only a couple of tickets left and then the next one kind of just left and then the next one I woke up and they were all gone oh she's like this is that's all you man that's all you pull like an like Oh see that's been postponed talks and like like hopefully things get sorted up with them for that is there anything else people should look out for I know I'll see you doing this Kagan's like it you're gonna scramble on Saturday for people just tune in there maybe they've they've logged in and watch this on Sunday and they've missed it but is there anything else that's coming up as well in the next few days no there's not that much coming at the moment we have to wait and see what the situation with this car but it's gonna be and for now or you just want to really make sure that if this gig and Waylon Stiles ahead on the 29th of August that it's gonna be a really good show like it's gonna be a properly good shower I want to get a really good support act for it and just start to finish I'm really I really am a believer of make it make it make a shower really good noise so the the best supports that you can possibly get get it like even if you think that better than you get the best support slots and then people are just wasn't for your gig and then you know people I don't see you so you're just gonna have a ball and I just really want to make the show just really good look about asked I've asked the couple of musician friends of mine singers and appearances on appearance after gig just just gonna because now we have the time and so we're hopefully gonna have a couple of things like that and just make the show just just make the shell toy and then it was gonna be and and maybe even get one or two songs that weren't gonna be in the original show we can we can iron out the creases and our songs and just and there and get them on as well no I think just just that shelf a nail and then look if there's any festivals come and are gonna be able to be played I'm gonna throw my best again on them if there's any good Sephora slots that come available to me I'm gonna jump on them I want to be gigging whether they want an acoustic act already want me with the full band I'm just gonna I'm gonna jump on everything now once once everything settled or there I'm really gonna focus on them I'm really gonna focus on go support slots and like dual code showers for people like getting people interested and then I have a whole album they're ready to go so I just wanted start releasing some tracks from that who know maybe I released something before this if this goes on longer I want to hopefully release something before where are they were laughs down for them hopefully I'd be able to release it the way I wanted it with with music videos and with copious games and we need an extra for your music video you know where I am yeah yeah that little screen there Brian Brian just really wrap it up right quick question where would you rather play in the tree arena or so dad's back ah I'd rather face st. Downs back no it's all killed I used to drink in that pack I used to hang out with my friends there learned how to play football I rode my bike down there as a kid and it's five minute walk away from you myself so be brilliant just to be able to play a gig and then Galton we local poor but we soccer club and just have a few points after like you know I mean ah st. Ann's all the way look I'll take it I think in fact I'd love to face st. Anne's fact I just think it's so cool it's really so you really live like it's just it's a beautiful park I don't know why they didn't like why they only doing it now it's like it's it's an unbelievable and thanks for a gig and even the gigs that were run last year and I heard they heard mixed reviews of some of them but like the one oh he went to the sound was brilliant it was great craic you walk five minutes after you were you were at your local you know so I was just like I suppose people from malahide love Collins gave him a lot with castle and sure like I was even myself following your story's been unreal if you're doing any other stuff for charity just let us know we'll share now there's no problem and also in the pillow ups to your next Williams cake or wherever it is next we'll have to get you on the help you promote it and yeah yeah and then you're gonna have to sort of say what equipment take it's like we'll pay before him before the we landscape and we can have another shot no let's just know what you're doing no Branagh keep writing those off to the amazing Jones what he's listed them on now we'll keep cherubim on we don't your self and great see and hopefully Topher points him thanks for keeping everything so positive the last couple of weeks when watching some of your podcast whatever it is I've got these podcasts yes but yeah like it's just all we saw positive them just use always she's always helped local local talent like just really appreciate and I'll definitely be on tears before the wheel in Skagen will get them again another one yeah so great make sure that make sure the follow Brian he's going to be doing this thing this Saturday as well make sure to check them out on Instagram if you donate something but don't know you soak them and make sure the boy subscribe if you're watching
