we've got an invict an SBG Ireland special we are bringing you the Invicta straway Champion the one and only dannyel McCormack and D Begley who makes her invictor debut in Boston Friday October 27th at invictor 20 or Victor 54 how are we doing ladies great I'm not doing as good as D now D sitting in a beer G yeah to know this let's get into this before we get into the show yeah yeah so so d uh you're out in the beer garden the way qu obviously going flying well is it going really well no I got I got locked out of my house and uh this was the best option yeah look we've seen some of those kicks that you have before the have you can't play kick down the front door or is that not an option oh it's not an option no unfortunately I don't think uh reinforced glass all that you know fair fair the funny thing is the funny thing is Danny and D actually live with each other and Danny wouldn't let her in yeah she's out yeah Alan was told under no circumstances let that woman into the house guys obviously Invicta 54 it's going to be a huge show it's in Boston you know they had to bring out the Irish big ons for the card was start yourselves Danny what does it mean to have your first world title defense in Boston it's it's unreal it's absolutely class and uh from my Googling I could be wrong here so anyone that says I'm wrong I'm probably wrong but I'm the first female combat athlete to headline in Boston so that's from I spent about an hour Googling to check was that fact correct and no I wrote it on Twitter and no one said otherwise so I'm going with that In fairness how long ago did you WR on Twitter uh about seven weeks ago all right if Andy hickey hasn't come back to you and told you you're wrong yet then I'm going to take it as gospel yeah yeah he didn't he didn't so there there we have it there we have it Ed what about yourself how's that how's that make you feel amazing yeah it makes me feel class I'm gonna go down in history so I am so uh yeah absolutely really cool Katy Taylor fought there but she wasn't the main event two Lads were the main event instead sexist pigs so yeah yeah um yeah it's unreal like I knew what we were going to Boston months ago Shannon said it and then it was just taking a long time to get over the line and uh now it is actually happening um it is something like class you know I'm really really enjoying the whole idea of it yeah we can't wait to see it and it's well deserved as well uh your last fight was unbelievable uh so we can't wait to see this one uh D how how much are you looking forward to being on the card and how proud are you of your teammate Danny being the first ever woman to headline a combat sports card in Boston I I know I'm super proud and you know it's great to be able to share like the the card with Danny and you know it really has that kind of like team kind of atmosphere like coming up to it like we've been in Camp together and for me you know it's class to be fighting in Boston like I fought um in Miami and in the States before but you know there's there's a lot more Irish support in Boston and historically you know it's um it's just really cool yeah and you go both going to be wearing green on the night uh well I I I will be wearing a TR color as usual a different type of tri color as the last one but um yeah more importantly the day before the nice H the way in they're doing fancy dress for Halloween so I I'm uh I'm going to be pretty Irish for mine but D is actually more H inter fancy dress than me and she's more dedicated she's more dedicated to this so she she's have did you order something did you I have been contemplating order yeah I might dress up as a minion I'm GNA see how I feel honestly you are gonna look like your half to bloody wear something are you and Alan GNA wear a coup's costume do you know what uh not quite but yes we're wearing the same costume oh I I can't wait see this now maybe don't reveal it may don't reveal it news I actually need a pair of your sunglasses b b just make this Danny this brings it back to co when yourself and Allan were like crossdressing on Tik Tok let's see let's see if Shannon invites us over after doing this show like first what Shannon's doing with Victor is unbelievable for us isn't it yeah it really really is H the Showcase of women's mixed martial arts is insane we love to see it I think it's it's something that's really special and it's such a great career path for people like yourselves to take to go the invictor route uh and it really builds those stars like the amount of people who fought in Invicta who are now in the UFC we've seen multiple UFC Champions as well um I think the most recent Champion was Carla sparza uh when she became a second time Champion so uh yeah it's it's insane to see it um I suppose with that Danny you know and there was a bit of noise made last time to try and get you into the UFC uh hasn't happened yet I think uh on The Irish Front they they've been a bit slower than a lot of us fans might like uh to be on a sign and talent but uh do you think the win here in Boston um you know that phone call is coming no matter what after that well first of all they're really missing out like big time I think we can all agree on that can't we oh yeah of course like you you bring it every single fight like that last fight was absolutely insane yeah that was chaos that last yeah well look ER I'm going out there I'm going to try and finish this fight and that's what they've said that they want to see they want to see finishes so I'm going to go out enjoy myself finish the fight and if they want me they want me and if they don't they don't and I'm sick of winging about it and soaking about it h it's either going to happen or it's not going to happen I think I'm the level and if they don't think that will then that's hard look on them that's the way I see it now at this point yeah absolutely not none none else are quitting anyway yeah like that that like I still can't get over that last fight like yeah like that was an absolute war and it it was incredible to see and if anyone hasn't seen it definitely go back and watch it it was one of the best fights you'll ever see especially go back and watch it in the build up to this one that was incredible like that that was one of the best F I've watched in the last 12 months thank you yeah thanks it wasn't meant to be that tramatic but it wasn't exactly how the game plan was meant to go but you know we're in the fight business we're here to get people watching so I I'll take it thank you well I think the goal is always to go in there and beat your opponent and come out on scaves but that's that that's not always uh what's going to happen when another world class fighter is trying to punch the head off you on the other side but uh no it it was an incredible uh performance uh I suppose D that's where I might ask you in obv see you watched it h you're now with him Victor um tell us like what was it like watching Danny have that crowning moment um and become a world champion in a major organization and then is this something that you want to emulate on your end yeah it was like inspirational stuff CU like you know edge of the SI like that first round is like oh my God and then just to see the absolute like grind for the next four round and like such a dominant display you know it just kind of like drives me to like that's like the kind of performance I want to put on you know next Friday you know um showstopping performance you know edge of the sea kind of stuff uh it's going to be exciting yeah Danny can you tell us a bit like what the emotions were like after you won that world title because like obviously the fight itself for the people that haven't watched it but for the people that have they know exactly that it was just like unbelievable carry on um what like when you ENT in the back after and like you achieved that like goal like what were the emotions like it was just crazy cuz like my first emotion was how did I how did I get through round one and how did we end up going the whole way through the fight and then the next thing was I was happy I got my hand raised and then the next thing was oh Jesus I get this belt and then the final thing was I'm a world champion like it literally was like in stages it took me to like realize what was after happening and yeah I I really really wanted it to happen like for months I just woke up every morning thinking oh my God can you believe if I became the invictor champion the first ever Irish invictor champion and it's like I spent my whole life dreaming things and they don't always happen and then when it did happen it was just shocking like it it took a while for it to to sink in but yeah it was just just amazing then the fact that it was on my birthday as well I was like me I feel like I should probably retire now like I don't feel like I should I should get any more like Good Karma now that was all the good karma I took on one night so yeah no it was amazing I'm something I'm very happy with yeah one of the stories as well was you you met John kavet at um Conor McGregor Afterparty saying that one day he want to become a world champion and then he went down and did it so uh like that's that's what that's what like movies are made about Ross aren't they yeah absolutely yeah and with that Danny if you were to have a life made about your movie who would play it oh God Denzel Washington well in Fair he is one of the best who would you pick D to play Danny to Danny watch it I know Johnny Walker to play Danny I think I think Reese Witherspoon would be like a good like accurate representation oh my God he's way too like pretty and perfect to be me I think a little biter d d That's too nice especially because Dan okay um yeah re re Reese Reese Withers SP isn't isn't the isn't tough tough enough cookie you know she's not Tough Enough cookie yeah uh who plays um Harley Quinn I feel like she's like crazy I feel like she could be in oh my God the girl that plays Harley Quinn is like the most good-look girl I've seen in a whole life Sor I just think is Danny you got your hair done it's all blonde like I'm not really sure the Australian girl what's her name Margo Robbie yes that's Barbie oh my god there get her in there M who else play yeah know but come here actually Danny Ju Just What while we're talking about yourself obviously this this is a rematch about six years in the making um and like sort of weird having the two's on because uh a week before this fight you actually had a cancel Bel that was originally against D I think I won't say in the amateur scene so uh you you fny story there's a funny tell the story so this just goes to show how nice Danny actually is like I was training down in Cork right and before the promotion contacted me or anything I got a Facebook message from say like my supposed opponent being like Oh my God de I'm so sorry I'm after getting injured I hurt my back um I won't be able to fight you I really hope they can find you a replacement and all this and she was just so lovely and it actually kind of like is what stemmed me to I messaged Danny before I moved up to to join SBG before I even messaged John and being like Oh like there's girls in your gym so it's actually kind of funny how it it led into you know Danny being this lovely approachable person who I eventually asked like oh what's your gym like to train in there you go yeah iated when that fight had to be cancelled then I felt really bad for you I was like oh no I can't believe she doesn't have ano oent like I feel bad but I can't fight and she can fight and she must feel even worse so uh yeah it's mad it's such a small world between me and D meant to have F fought and then I have already fought this girl who I'm going fight next so like the women's MMA it is a small world especially in Europe like we're all kind of clipping at each other's heels and you know if you're within any sort of weight division of each other at all will all have met or our teammates have met you know it's hard to get a random girl that someone you know hasn't already fought yeah so I know karolina like we're I'd say we're we're friends now like we've met lots of times since I fought and actually the last two Invicta shows she uses my weighing scales in my bedroom because she doesn't bring one so maybe bring her own maybe maybe maybe mess around with them we scales and make sure they're a bit heavier than uh so but hopefully Carina's not listening to this d d obviously if you write the wrong of that that amateur fight you had with Carolina is there is do you feel like you almost have done everything in Invicta or like Shannon is talking about potentially bringing a Victor to Dublin is that something you'd like to do as well H I want to like I want to get to the UFC and fight the best girls in the world like if I was 23 yeah sure let's go to Dublin let's you know there's loads of good girls in the strawweight division um there's plenty of girls there for me to fight but I don't have time like I want to fight the best people in the world and they're in the UFC so if the UFC don't want me after this fight then yeah I'll have another fight for invictor and if it's in Dublin it's in Dublin if if it's not it's not but like I I'm I'm not really interested in the whole occasion I'm more interested in fighting someone the best in the world and uh challenging myself that's like what gets me up in the morning so I fought in Dublin loads for Bator I kind of like going away you know like getting a little holiday out of it so um yeah look at the end of the day I want to fight the best people in the world and they're in the UFC so uh that has to be the the plan a and then plan B will be a fight for invictor and uh yeah there there's a ha of girls there lining up I'm sure calling me out already to fight there and invictor so H we'll see what happens I have to win next Friday I have to finish and uh I have to have a few drinks after afterwards and then we'll have a chat V yeah that mean that means de's going to have to headline Dublin fighting for the h Flyway toilet isn't that right d I'm already making moves to make that happen because uh I this the so I'm fighting a girl what's her name Christina Williams and uh she wasn't supposed to be my original opponent so my original opponent got injured and I was given a choice between two different girls and like naturally I told that chose the not not necessarily the hardest but the one that made most sense for me which was Christina because she fought for the title in her last fight she lost um a close enough fight uh to a girl who has been signed to the UFC off that win so like my and it's a vacant Flyway title you could arguably say that like I'm fighting you know the the person who would naturally be the number one Contender so on uh coming off a win off this fight like I plan my next fight will be for the title do you have your pro promo ready and rock ready to quot are you going to tell them you're not here to take part yeah I'm to take over 100% yeah like we all go to [Applause] war no it is like and you know what it's uh I think everything kind of happens for a reason though I I could have taken maybe a a less dangerous opponent but I wouldn't bit of chaos going on the dogs are getting excited for us too Danny that's all it is but uh Whatchamacallit like like it Mak it doesn't make sense for me at this stage of my career you know I I've six Pro fights I'm coming off a big win I've beaten two um Ultimate Fighter house contestants like I I'm right up there like I'm like the the highest level there is so you know it's kind of like what Danny's saying like yes I I want to fight for the belt but like at the end of the day like I I will be in the UFC in the future and it's just a matter of time yeah I I I I firmly believe it and I firmly believe like the invictor route is set St I think um the amount of people who've won invictor belt and then like been signed automatically to the UFC and then with one title defense I think that like percentile is like 80 which 90% of people who defend the belt once then got signed to the UFC so uh Danny like you better not be in that minus 10% otherwise uh I I'll ring Dana myself I'm say Dana what are you doing here cuz uh we want to see the most me Vish people in the UFC possible like no like no one wants to see more oish vs in the UFC than us so like uh we'd love to see both in there and uh look if you pick up one of those nice shiny go belts along the way the all the better they're they're nice Downy aren't they yeah will I get it for you yeah go on go on get the belt get the Bel yeah yeah yeah just for people tuning in now you have to make sure to watch Danny and D on Friday the 27th and um I cannot wait to see what happens on the 2060 in the fancy dress competition between you and I wonder who will win that Russ it totally depends on my mood okay because like I I could like I love I would love to like my fight name like Despicable D Begley it's it's purely because I just love the minions like it's all it's about you know what B we might have to do a poll H between the two girls with their fancy dress outfits and who whose outfit is better yeah we will do that she's definitely better she's 100% better than mine no that's if I do it oh look at that glorious belt I want one of those yeah there should be an orangish flag in that yeah yeah we'll have to get one it's very girly and pretty so it is does it come with its own passport proper woman's belt no this didn't go to America no chance I presume they're going to give me a second one so if I bring this with me I ain't getting no second on this is staying right here at home yeah I got to get another one I hope she hadn't start watching this she probably will be but uh T Shannon you need to give the Danny Mack a second one she deserves it yeah if well if D wins in the the costume off D I think you should take the title that's just what I you can get the second one no I'm definitely not making that back CU I know D is going to beat me on the fancy dress already see the get up of what I Master order you have a lot more faith in me and my fancy dress any than like tell you do my fighting yeah she definitely hyped her up no I'm for both you win the fancy dress you win the fight you're gonna fight for the title two invictor Champions here we go yeah uh guys just before we wrap things up like who's going to be in your corner on Friday the 27th uh Allan is in mine and John and I Dave and John Happy Days Dave is flying with me de and Allan on Monday so there's four of us going out together on Monday yeah say that after party is going to be full of four Stout Ross absolutely yeah four Stout to beat the band um but ladies uh instead of asking you how I think the fights going to end because we both say you're going to win so we don't need to hear that um any particular new arsenals or tools that you you're bringing to the table this time that you're looking forward to showing off on the night oh I love doing the spinning don't i d i see what you're doing there that's a joke by the way Danny spinning mmok everyone else spins at me and I get so annoyed about it and I stop spinning on me I don't spin at all so that's a joke that's a joke for a takedown for once maybe yeah yeah D's going to come in she for takedowns and Danny's going to come come in there with Spin and that's that's that's that's that's how reversal that's the game and D plans are TR zero kicks zero kicks no but uh obviously you guys uh are over there representing you know club and Country over there it's going to be incredible to see um the whole nation's going to be backing you and watching it you're two absolute starward to the the irm May Community H you both
