Deanna Joyce goes our back fresh off our trip from Cork Barry boy Coney Island what an experience it was my mother I really was really was my it was from start to finish absolutely wall--the wall foreigners on the show getting BCA's from NACO as well back Friday morning she gave us loads of cons everyone was actually so grateful for that down there cuz there wasn't actually too many drinks available down there in terms of non coffee drinks yeah they were like gives one man with it yeah and then Wonder Boy was like these cans are awesome it's like it's like an energy drink Frank Maher was like I'll have one too sorry Frank no worries about yeah I was like if you beat me in a grapple off you could have on Frank and he was like all right and I was like I'm gonna mess there Mike Polad no yeah as Ross setbacks tear drop them down to us and we got three flares and it was at Miami strawberry Caribbean that's the one with the pineapple here and then a passion Ross which one was your favorite my favorite was Miami I actually originally thought I was gonna like that the Caribbean one or Caribbean one or whatever way people actually say that but you know the mom you want is more favored it is well that's it I'm drinking an arrow like I'm like I'm like this taste you haven't stopped drinking it a normally I'm like oh you know strawberry drink you know yeah but that's the one I was drinking mostly as well yeah like this show this but what we're going to discuss today is obviously how we got on a phone icon everything about it for people that missed out because I'm sure people are interested what it was like just meeting the people getting people on the show what we went through and all that sort of crack who we met also later on the show we're gonna go into the way to fight calm yeah we were on the road let's say bye shortly after 1 o'clock and I had the drive down the whole way down we're like we were quite apprehensive we saw just what's gonna happen yeah you know I recognize that sort of that sort of bulls you know yeah yeah we were 1% too sure what we were actually getting ourselves in for yeah yeah because it's never been done before so I'm a guy you see I think that's more of my phone cuz I'm really like what's gonna happen all right I also cause it wasn't in Dublin it was harder to envisage as we never seen the venue it was in before so we were gonna see a first home that everyone else can we get to see it yeah we on the way down like very Irish weather it was like lashing rain really sunny lashing rain Reedy Soni celebratory we got down there like I was like turning on and off I was like here also Moyes on/off stop work on the way down and we were going to one of the lads workplaces where they were doing their live podcast yeah and I thought everyone says the hotel's 25 minutes behind us and then there were crates of 45 minutes in front of us but then next thing you know I was like Troy went oh there's the Clayton which is a chain of hotels for anyone who doesn't know that no I wish we were staying in that place was and then it said Clayton Silver Springs exactly where we're saying there's a girl brilliant at what we were doing to check into the hotel get rid of stuff and like not be driving for three hours yes when we were actually about to pull up I was like Russ that's definitely it you can see wonderboy waving at us and Russ is like hit we're right obviously not but then when we actually pulled into the chiropractor like there's been asking I'm Wonder Boy I was like yeah sure look man I just cracked a joke and they're Alesha coming out yeah it was crazy there with her agent their age and JC she's had a pee or I think for perotin yeah really really noise woman and then their taxi drivers out there shared it to the taxi driver she ever protected over shook his hand I thought he was like been asking snap or like I was totally wrong yeah better she could look like he probably didn't slept and bail on save 42 hours yeah he look knackered yeah he's always very like short and he was walking around Phillips as well by the way and then water boy was like I like the Guinness legend yeah he actually is a legend we definitely get into that more about Wonder Boy boy like he was like posing and willing to do everything yeah he was for the fans when people say he's the noise go of all time it's next-level noises or not yeah he's up there with the sage north coats of this world he is indeed he is indeed yeah so we checked in the hotel we went to check in other words your rooms are ready yeah and then and this is like hard for ya so if you don't know me I know anything's wrong so I'm like hmm the average hotel check-in times three o'clock it's down half for boys in my room ready yeah the problem was the football team defend her football team ready yeah Finn harps football team we're holding up to help very nervous and first the Foley comrades covered our hotel we might as well be honest about what if they didn't cover a hotel and we were paying for hotel room I've been stopping yeah you see the plan was after that driver being like hot-cold hot-cold like it you want to go in like wash your face and put on a new t-shirt or give your give a teat a scrub yeah you know I mean you feel like you've been on a plane traveling yeah that's exactly what it felt like yeah it's very long sitting the warm seat for ages and no matter what you do like the car seat gets like warm and climbing yeah yeah that's exactly no there's no ways about it yeah so went into room we know chill down on the beds bars like I'm in the double nose like final being single Jericho I was like ah because I'm bigger than you yeah always happen single bed Baris the room was probably a lovely view earth room yeah and then we had a back in Cork City Center for the offensive charm live combi offensive charms live show oh sorry is come by defensive that's what happens when you have two days your podcast that's the problem our clothes yeah that's brought me to school start as well we were like because when we were doing like a rugby show a football show and may show we were like should we have like energized rupee and enjoy football enjoys I'm a poor like we just stuck under one banner I think it I think their thing is almost like offensive charm brings you combat offensive yeah I think boy anyway Jay and keen had the two lads on Ben Askren I'm Wonder Boy we went down to watch it in their studio republic of work republic work the know what about forty people are maybe yeah yeah and teen coffee at the ready yeah see that's the thing i already had about ten coffees when I was there and I was like Rossum fading and fading here man we're gonna go get monsters so we actually went through got monsters in the rain Jesus you know yeah it did because it was cold it was cold like not the waiter put the drink but and you're like here I'm gonna buy it a lot of I was like right here and get it as well neither of us won but I haven't checked more but like it's still there so I'm like you never know also we were in Cork City we asked this guy where'd you go to the nearest shop and your mom was like over the ridge turn Roy 200 yards down the world I was just there and then we walked the shop director behind school and he walked into the house next door yeah yeah I was like we just said if you follow me heading that way don't [ __ ] like ladies guys following me to the shop obviously also we tried the new Green Monster and I was like stop that workday well yeah but it's not as good as Antonakos don't know these these were the Savior these are savor the read were on Sunday that's the sponsorship out the door already like you're like dude give no no no no that is my CDs on Saturday were the saver how many do you have on Saturday let's say about four at least and we we gave the hold people nah yeah so after event the lads had their live show if I had to give one criticism about it would be they didn't test or most of what he did so everyone sort of sitting there and the monks were going mad and was a something like me a roster like oh Jesus yeah I was moreso sitting there thinking being Zoey that would be Barry I thought yeah I was like on blatant marketing I was like I hear like this is gone this is gone bad Oh Wilfred showed up for the live show as well he sat down so just yeah very very noice core as well he was soon lumpy were down there he was I was looking very very fresh yeah so we went back to the hotel we got a boy to eat we decide to have one or two points there which turned into like a load of points yeah very I think we had about six points yeah well hop miles we were there we're having a few and then I was like Jon I'll get the book the infamous book and write down what sort of questions we should ask at the cake or the event whatever you want to call it and then they were sitting down and then like Ross over the bathroom and then like Ross is sitting there beside go called Shane shadow Shane and his wife fiancee girlfriend wife his what a half a CD was there and then like like they ended up sitting with us and then they're like we follow you it was like oh this is gasps I'm like yeah we were a boy and drinks for everyone like and we were just like getting loose I know Shane a deer watching right now if you're not married we're definitely gonna be avoid to the wedding yeah yeah will host wedding yeah well host the wedding yeah also Jake came over for cha enum Podge him over for cha Kiefer Crosby he came over and said I'm going to bed yeah will flirty and the Tom you came in for chat as well so a lot of people sort of popped out over those who were sitting there have the points the tearing your rugby team came over for a chat so I'll turn your Ruby team yeah there's a big wave throw some sage no I didn't know who it was yeah it's her way back yeah that could have been I didn't know what was going on there well that yeah so we actually like we ended up ad pasted your hands pulled out next one we woke up and I was like oh my god I'm gonna be a team on my own accord barely yeah it was such an idiotic thing to do to be honest it was one of those things where whatever go to bed was like um grond bulton for tomorrow he goes you know what he's won those scenes you know when her wedding you can just keep on drinking yeah yeah I think was like wants to go balls that words like this is grab yeah and then we were too excited it was like Christmas or something but then well good that was wow that's a groggy and I felt dehydrators dijo yet yo Dre but then you had a knocko a bit of a headache and then went down had the breakfast had 17 counts of knock I went to me I was laughing I was like eventually you just get yourself over it and you have to get off for the day ahead you know yeah because also the night before we I forgot to mention we went into the command center to see what the lay it was like but there was like a big massive ball on I mean roster just walking him a hoodie he's like being like all right definitely should not be here definitely should not be there yeah but then a Saturday rolls around like we're like right showered tuned and booted readies go in and like what did you think the second he walked in or like worried well there's the Octagon it's a few sponsors around I saw our podcast corner I was like right Grande Oh semi wanted to move all the chairs to like this if you don't mean yeah and then I went upstairs and saw the way that was later what went right grant I was have my bearings now I know where everything is I'm sorry it's one of those things where you want to walk around be found we also have to get your own work too as well yeah yeah so I went around looked in the media room saw the guys there went right this is this is fine I was like yeah I'm ready to rock yeah it was such a strange feeling going in because like you don't know who you know or you don't know or because like we like I know we've like over 12,000 followers but we also follow but like close three coats of sixth house and so like just so that's so many people so therefore like we could be following someone they put like we don't notice who they are yeah they don't come pin your timeline never stuff like that yeah also we had to say home on down there and he was like dinner sound and then like disappeared and I was like where is that going up we did do what we did to do a lap and it was just like it was like right what's gonna happen they can mean well we're just gonna do a low show cuz the lads were like here just ask the people to come on pull like we had to then like turn on and big massive speaker so people would actually be like everyone will be hearing us it wouldn't be like just in a whole corner yeah our setup was sued lost them to the ground I think the only thing we're missing is maybe a slight bit of elevation wouldn't have gone amiss I think if if they put our three chairs on a smaller stage yeah that would have been perfect first yeah and look we were more than happy with what we had yeah the I think that I'd let people in around half tent did you they started letting people in around halftime we were there from out 10 past 10 and then we just sort of went round had a look and then we just sat down and went who we gonna be on the show first yeah that was the thing I was sort of nervous and also a bit hungover I was he saw was like we should start off like like ease ourselves into it I know so like when we went upstairs like James caller key for crosby their agent live in a page Luke noid Frank Mir Frank Mir his daughter every wasn't like the Foley showroom yeah everyone was in yesterday yeah and I was like I was like intimidated to go in cuz like who do we ask first or like I didn't know what to do well he's very rough for us the strolls in he's like alright lads like boy himself and then oh wait no sorry for about 10 minutes I'm like where is he and then I'll stick my head in like I looked around the whole room you're just there in the corner oh well at the end they gonna have to speak these people some say well you know act like a belong there yeah but that's doing yeah I think that's why you have to go about it no that's the thing it is it that is the way people like I guess foyer so those people are there to do media so like I know yeah come over here and do a bit of media I mean that's important yeah so well I think it's cuz we were somewhere own natural so I was horse we did a can't contemplate and we'll flurry on a show first we have we long before we know we'll William borrow some hair gel off me in the morn yeah what ago oh you had actually say no cool things about him round go to wonder boy yeah go wonder boy have 20 minutes your time you got absolutely no problem sure where'd you want me I was like perfect my god you made this easy so then went downstairs brought my over stop down and do her a little bit of setup and he was like can we have that kind of knock oh I was like a course cam card being varied wonderboy and then next thing you know we started and we're chatting away to him yeah it was Mike's like this is first show at this is your first ever lawyer shows well just think of it and was way wounded boy and like then the monitors are people were sort of like sorry beginning to congregate around and look and next thing you know you'll see when you watch the water wave video yeah that's gonna be out tomorrow so 24 hours after this episode some fella comes in behind also record and let starts taking photos and Bari almost got a Froy I won't say it cause yeah we're doing the show I know I'm sitting yeah so basic yeah so basically the same way cuz I was sitting here you were sitting there and Wonder Boy sort of sitting there yeah and like I was sort of looking this way communicating with used to right and then like at the near the very very end as Wonder Boy addressed the crowd asking was he first in the octagon or second in the Octagon against Iron Tail and then he was sort of asking people I was like and then I was like well there's actually like loads people there yeah I didn't know there was over a hundred people's I'm there oh how many people do you think action was there cuz I told the lads I was like it was about 40 because I wanted an older set you know to be like six tells and people were there now was over home to be able son never said there was like yep I knew there was gold for you but I was like right I'll say 40 just not to be like there was tan and you're like oh 50 people showed altered my party no no there was like over hundred papers on there there was people standing behind people be like who's energizer is Justin Larry was ever looking at the water cooler yeah boy it was obscene I got a right I think the I think it's about 25 minutes long the interviews not yeah yeah yeah and he loved he didn't want to leave yeah we sorta have to wrap things up I think I think Craig was probably became an issue no the - yeah croaker joke became an issue the two lads came over there like ladsous too many people here we have to like quote it off yeah and then it was just a bit like but like if people were there and join us house white turn off the roller coaster yeah uh no obviously there's a health and safety and I'm I'm fire and stuff and poor wonderboy enjoyed it the crowd enjoyed it and we enjoyed it and that's all the Myers I'm like that's employee cons therefore fir have people like Wonder Boy entertain the crowd exactly yeah and I felt like we were doing a good job I listened back to the video we turn there pretty good cuz I had to make sure all the sound and all cause like if people that aren't 100% aware or if the headphones in because I'm listening back I'm listening to the show while it's live whereas like when you're just used to are talking because like Wonder Boy asked me to to repeat myself and then I said closer to the mic but I forgot he can't actually hear you know yeah yeah that's all there that's the that's why podcasts are you know well there yeah that's gonna be able like a headlock pull it out I was like this is how surreal because like you hear a lot of stuff being said about these people and like to see them actually just being themselves they are totally different what you think like so many i'ma take her read Estonia was James Gallagher like they demanded like abuse he gets all the time online and then you see him just being there and just being himself and he's only 23 which is crazy poor it's like he is actually a really good guy yeah I make sure he knows going yeah I actually don't have a bad word say about him I mean even like I've more so change my opinion on that yeah he's very humble he's very approachable he's very nice going to try to i mean slightly guard himself to the media like he knows when he has to be on or off because like he is 20 sells sell tickets as well t in the day but Nomos makes me appreciate more known that such as a salesman saw him i suppose that that's who he is that make sense yeah i actually think he seems like quite a quiet chap reedy sitting at home he's very very chill he's very family orientated yeah I'm sure he's learning off the best Connor Connor hotels him to he's gonna give him pointers how to sell tickets you know absolutely and he's basically the face very well he's almost a face of Bellator Suresh in Europe Daphne in Europe and he was deafening the lower I would say he's probably headlined more shows and Bellator and Europe than anyone else and also been scheduled to as well yeah absolutely a merchandiser or marketable foyer he's the most modern Europe I'd say yeah between himself an MVP yeah one thing I do want to apologize to the people checking out the show now is we did want to also get Frank Mir on the show funky bass current and James Blake there are times where I'll show locked in it wasn't that easy cuz there we weren't on their set roster to come over we almost had to be like can you please do our show and like Ben Askren was so tired he went back to his hotel for a while and then for not yeah for a nap so like we weren't able to wake him up and with Foxcatcher what do you say to ya know a spankin Ben asked my bedroom the Foxcatcher so basically for people who don't know if you haven't seen the documentary or movie the Foxcatcher a lot a lot of American wrestlers once they've left college they had they couldn't compete anymore so the Foxcatcher was set up for these people to work full-time and live on the property in Philadelphia and so I asked Ben ask him what the because Venice was retired now so I would have been like maybe that wasn't possibility in his head to go there but he said it was just beyond them for their Mark Schultz was like renowned he was Olympic gold medals as well yeah he would have been leave those Colts about that was yeah it was Jeff was it was a pure yeah it was like a community team they wanted to be the best in the world I was just like right Ben Askren competed in the Olympics I would have thought he would with him we hung around for a bit and then really key for with Jomon coming on the show and he's like what's your show he was like what's your show was like energizer but with Justin Larry so then I was like right Ross you just sort this out on going downstairs getting everything ready he came down and then he did you see it on the the shows and make sure to subscribe if you want to check that one air yeah but this is like what talking the microphone on this podcast shed yeah yeah he was there for about half an hour with us he was enjoying it as well and but we had to wrap that one up as well to me yeah I think we put anyway look Kiefer in Georgia we enjoyed it we got to go to insight into you know his Oh purring in here is Trenton conditioners nutrition I feel like we ask questions that there's no videos out there about his background what made him get into it yeah that sort of stuff rather than just knowing he's knocks ahead off people you know yeah yeah I feel like there's not that many key for Crosby infuse that aren't post for you or pre-flight doesn't mean yeah yeah yeah there's very few sort of a key for how you getting on yeah and then it was like almost the end of the things were also we had to be respectful of what else going on today under the fans yes my fans and you didn't take them away from something else yeah come watch this look I think we did a really good job we should provide us some access and hopefully over you guys like what we put out as well cause a design about you as well and that we finished up the day with our girlfriend will Fleur which is another brilliant interview and a actually got really deep and he didn't he we discussed her helped me and we'll both like noise pair of socks and his mind set our what fighting means to him what makes him different from the rest yeah the whole experience is very humbling that was like bass at the end of the event of five o'clock and as I said earlier I do it like I wish we had got more people on but I think met next not like I think we did a good job before we go on I think people were entertained but what we did and that's not even try to be big-headed or any sort of it was just like we went there with with the goal to give people like a goat I make them laugh well we drew big audience and people stay people people kept coming like who you haven't on next yeah after the first woman out the first one they go through you have it on next and I'm going to take my MVP boy we don't really have a set time yeah I mean they're like that was brilliant yeah it was quite fun year got to a sort of stage where I was like you should have lived come on our show oh yeah yeah embarrassed those are the people that we would have even consider having on there Rowan's plan was there he's recently swimming Bellator heavy way and Paula Hammond was there yeah would have had him as well but it also comes down to the fact that Barry's never added in all the shelves and half that at six shows you know mean within a week on top of everything else he has to do is law you know I mean I'm work and sleep yeah and sleep and work and yeah I'm not complaining boy oh no it's just a lot yeah we also were like here look if we're doing one right now we took we don't we want to give them a hundred cent attention yeah knowing that Frank Mir might be walking out the door now it's just been like like no fancy lads but they live in Ireland yeah whereas it's also quite value it isn't it yeah yeah it you're performing you are performing anyway if we're about we'll be back down in Cork probably for a cage warriors event so yeah we'll be able to interview those lads they're German the Dirk Richter only the beginning their careers I mean bull damn like after I felt like like obviously worked hard but like I was like really proud of that moment like we've been looking forward to that for ages and they went off without a hitch hopefully next time we did like a good enough job that we get asked back first of all but second of all we actually got a time slot with the fighters so we get like a half an hour like allocated with each fighter yeah hopefully so that we that's well you're gonna have to negotiate yeah well I think I think that Stephanie what's gonna work out best yeah I think that would be added entertainment cause I think there was sort of gaps in the day where people were like oh what we do next yeah so yeah I think that could be something that they could look at down in the future next people look at the end he was only the first one the first one ever I'm sure you have plenty learning curves they're gonna go true yeah who knew how good we would be or not be loyal I mean as well you know that's also true I think we did a smashing job I think the feedback that we got by own there sure I think goes the show I think we got like 200 to 300 new followers from Cork from the event so if doc doesn't say a lot then what doors that's very true yeah shadowed
