today we are bringing you a cage Warriors 163 special and it's an all Irish special at that we've got Adam Derby and chenade Nan Lads how are we doing I'm doing really good looking forward to the fight now lad lad and ladies man yeah Lads is generic term schade you're not offended by that are you no not at all though don't worry about it I'm offended for you schneid well then then then we'll we'll start ladies first uh chenade how much for how much are you looking forward to making your pro debut over in London H in the Indigo yeah I absolutely can't wait it's great to be over here so living here fulltime then getting to actually fight here um for my Pro debut is is amazing so yeah I can't wait all and and then uh Derby obviously this was um well what might appear to be short notice to The Outsider how long have you known about this fight now look I knew I was fighting around this time anyways it's not a short notice fight for me the opponent was short notice I got him eight days out but you know it's sh out for him as well so I was trying in away I knew I was going to be on this card the Newcastle card San Diego card so either way I was fit and ready to go for the fourth card which is the London card and the best one in my opinion you can't go wrong with the out2 indigo yeah exactly that's why you have to make sure to make sure to tune in this Saturday the only two Irish fighters on the card on UC fo pass November the 11th make sure to check it out live on UC see fo pass R Us yeah absolutely absolutely uh guys some greener pastures for this fight uh for for for both you guys um we'll start with yourself chenade obviously you've moved over to London You' moved to team Underground why London why team underground uh I met Steve from Team underground so head coach Steve when I fought his girl in the four nations back in what last year and um I trained with him a couple of times flew over flew home and it just Just Feels Like Home to me you know I mean it was it was a good move for me and it was it was best for me so yeah yeah absolutely uh it seems to be working now obviously you've won your last three amateur fights uh all all in impressive fashion as well and I think I remember seeing an Instagram post for me a while ago saying like your amateur record basically means F all and you know what I mean like it's all about learning and growing and like you should take the hard fights do you feel that's really going to stand to you in your pro debut oh 1 million percent like my record is not great like it's what six and six you know but at the end of the day I'm zero zero Nows a pro you know what I mean so I think I fought literally the best of the best at amateur best in the UK best in the um number one ranked in the Ukraine do you know what I mean so H it will play to me I feel like I've got all the experience I need and I just have to put it into four round goes now yeah and Sh how did this F come about as well cuz uh were you planning on going pro so soon no this was a short notice three weeks kind of just the girl that was fighting was in this fight where hour she pulled out so they were looking for someone and I was like let's do it [Music] yeah that's what you're going to hear on on Saturday nights today when you get get finish but yeah so it was a short notice fight it's upweight but it it doesn't really bother me yeah Shad out team underground as well their documentary on sky was uh pretty good and CH you were actually in it fighting against team underground that which is actually crazy yeah yeah yeah that's that's that's that's wild I think you're one of the few people I've ever heard to have fought someone and then like joined their team H that's that's pretty wild so uh no no it looks like uh you have a nice little family over there as well so uh with within the team so that that's great and we love to see it h and then obviously Derby you've moved over to California now obviously you're you're still with Team Royo but you've gone over to the MMA academy uh what what was that like and how' that opportunity come about so I was out in Toyland I was doing I was out there training for six weeks and Andy gave me a call and said are interested going out the season two with the MMA fight Academy three months in California I said yeah definitely checked it out had to look into it text A friend of mine that was over there Teddy Stringer just to make sure it was a good level and stuff going over he told me a few of the bodies checked him out I was like [ __ ] this is where I need to be so I went over there for three months training in the S outsouring training Jitsu was I was unbelievable and I really I think I leveled up and I'm looking forward to showing on satday yeah when Adam actually came on to Today's Show he goes what's up dudes man absolutely uh then I will uh will Andy be F over this Saturday for you so I don't know because I didn't I didn't know if I was going to be fighting or not I only told him two days ago when everyone else found out cuz that's when I found out so obviously he's very important man he runs a gym and stuff so hopefully he's there he said he's going to try and make it over but we'll have to wait and see Saturday you know I only gave him six seven days notice yeah I'm sure I'm sure you'll have someone there for you one way or the other uh one thing I did want to ask you about is uh we actually spoke about off there there's a few characters over there uh at the me but uh we saw the Hardwick Bros uh flew over there and train with you recently what was it like to get trained in with those guys yeah so we've got Leon arms over there Leon is The lad's Prodigy and he's training over there Leon is Leon's nuts I sh around with Leon over there for three months and there was a yeah it's a bit of crack like Leon's mad and we had a few story times the night and stuff and I'm looking forward to Leon's fight now Newcastle in two weeks he's a really good guy he trains hard he's not afraid of anyone and then obviously George and Harry flew out to surprise him so they told us they were coming out but he didn't know so they showed up and surprised him in the gym which was pretty cool and was really good to pick the and get some rounds with them I think my favorite ever Leon ARS moment is uh they were in the fighter Hotel one time and there was these kids there and uh Leon was carrying the belt for George and the kids didn't know about it so all the kids were getting photos with Leon with the belt they thought it was some sort of world champion yeah L of American kids it was actually yeah he had a video of with all I don't know who this guy is but I'm getting a picture with him that is pretty good I forgot about that one that's exactly what we want to see that's exactly what we want to see uh obviously you touched on this fight being a upway class to where do you see the majority of your pro career taking place straws yeah this is yeah this I'm not fighting this again this is this is the only time I'm fighting bantamweight and it could be a flyweight I'm not sure but if I want to get to high level I need to be a stra weight I'm way too short to be in the flyweight or bantamweight Division and obviously you know you've done quite a few imaf tournaments and stuff like that obviously in the female divisions across the UK and Ireland been like notoriously known as like hard to get matchups uh do you feel like in the Pro proos side of the game you feel like there' be a lot easier to get matched up um yeah with certain organizations I think I I don't know about cage WIS I'm hoping that they kind of bring more strawweight Fighters into the organization there is a strawweight fight on this card riry Hudson's making our debut so hopefully that that's a sign that they're going to bring more girls in and would you like to fight the winner that fight on this card I would fight either of those yeah 100% hoping I'm aiming for March then hopefully they were saying something about March so I'm hoping that if it goes all plan I'll be fighting again in March hopefully look at the last trouble and all here we go well you know this is this isn't your first show bu yeah like I was going to say I spoke to numerous girls on on the domestic scene and they they all have the same message that it's really hard to get fight so like if there's another one fighting on the card like you might as well call her out and like you can say it to her face to face be like right we can fight next then yeah yeah I don't mind I'll do it it's not a problem to me I don't care who I fight don't worry der we'll come put a match up for you on the card as well if you really want far pull outs there I was getting nervous jez yeah der before we before we actually get into your fight Derby like um obviously cage Warriors Dublin just came went there recently and three Lads from Team Royo all fought on the card and one did you tune in and what did you want to make of the event and would you have like to been on that card yeah course I was watching that and was really good performance debut absolutely smashed it tough fight the guy was game Solomon looked really good and then I thought James J looked great I think I think James should be fighting for the title now he's beaten on Brown before I think James should be fighting him if he wins or either way James should be fighting whoever wins I would like to see them fly James out and let him see K to it in London and let him do a little face off in the ring after but you know it didn't happen but I think James should be getting the title chat now jez Derby that sounds like a great idea man know that's just me the man with the ideas yeah and then yeah shout out to Solomon S as well newly engaged and uh jar Harris he's actually a free agent right now Ross yeah he is probably one of the hottest free agents uh in Europe at the moment H we all know that that boy he he can do a bit of punch him but uh that m is something else as well so uh he's he's a promotional dream and one more for the bad guy Derby obviously omil Brown is actually fighting on this card uh for the welterweight H like obviously anyone could win the the welterweight trp but he probably the ideal P for James Sheen as in the rematch would build a bit of uh hype up will you be whispering his ear being like do you remember James Sheen beat you uh just to just to like get it going from the problem the problem with the look me and James is there not that we're nice guys yeah we are nice guys but we don't do all this [ __ ] of calling out and stuff like that where sometimes you know when you get to that level you do need to call people out not a disrespect for it just say look I think I could beat you that's s the think so I'd like to see James still maybe not so much a car but as for the four publicly and online let's let's get the fight on like who who knows maybe he'll call over to cornea and then he'll He he'll sit in the front row he knows anything could happen that's a great idea as well I think I came up with that one Russ and told you that one yeah you did man you 100% did uh yeah no it's it's uh it's all it's all hotting up on the Irish MMA scene and we love to see it we love to see it uh should I tell us this um what what way will you be lining up in your corner come F night cuz obviously you're in new gy like is it is it established who the coaches who be yeah so my head coaches actually gone to Thailand the day I'm weighing in so he won't be there but I have um you know Jonathan hagy his dad and his brother in my corner Jesus that's that's not that's not bad not a bad one yeah not bad at all no no Happy Days Happy Days uh tell us this what's life like living in London now obviously uh you know you're you're an Irish guy living in in the Big Smoke over there now what's what's what's like over there cuz uh I've lived in London and it can be busy like it it's a bit mad yeah like cuz I come from the countryside in mayo Inland so like I wasn't used to it but um like it's much better than Dublin at the moment you know I'm I'm literally training full-time I'm not working I'm just training where in Dublin I was trying to split my hours and everything and I wasn't putting my whole you know effort into training right now I'm literally just training so it's probably the best thing for me at the moment yeah absolutely and like obviously you know you were training SPG then I think you're water for a bit are you are you glad just to have that base now that you like you know exactly where you're at yeah and like SBG like was absolutely great for the four to five years I was there but you know I think sometimes you have to do what's best for you and moving on moving on from SG was what was best for me you know what I mean but the team rhyo and Waterford were great as well so yeah like it all plays into my career I've learned so much from them all like do you know what I mean yeah you have many people coming over for from Ireland to support you for your yeah I think I have about I think about 15 so that's a lot for me anyways but yeah about 15 that's a lot for anyone der Derby can't even get a corn man over there absolutely yeah D is r on the mic is r on the mic this weekend as well no T [ __ ] he's not on the mic he's castle and he own R last week so now look Red's good in the M but it's hard for him to commentate when I'm fighting you now because I'm his best mate and he wants to give me a shout out all the time shout out red yeah tell us Derby do you think this be the last one of the year uh or or would you Lo to go again before the end of the year cuz uh you were ring up that that San Diego card as well yeah so uh there's obviously Talk of the San Diego crowd but I'm focus on Saturday I'm focus on putting this man away I'm not skipping aead a week because you know this guy is dangerous he's long he's three in one he's good records couple of finishes couple of Knockouts so un focusing this guy take care of business now on Saturday and then we'll see where're at then hopefully we get the San Diego card and finish the year strong der's not messing around here D's what what's the story after this weekend do you do you fly back over to America or like or like what's what happens next no so the MMA fight Academy basically what it is for the next two years we're going to be living and training over in San Diego so you're going to do three months on at a time you're over it three months you're fo you come home for four to five weeks you're back over again for the next Camp so we'll go back over at the second week of January and I'll be over there so you know touching on watch out said about H training fulltime and I'm training fulltime obvious in San Diego I'm not walking you're getting a really good wage to be honest with you far what you're doing you're getting a good wage everything's paid for your housing your food your car everything so basically all you got to do is train twice a day and then do whatever extra training you want but it's really good it's a big opportunity from the lad and I'm really thankful to grahe and all the guys that have got got me there well it sounds like the dream for you as well how much pressure huh how much pressure is that taking off you know knowing that you don't have to worry about finances or anything that all you have to do is concentrate on yourself look I never really struggled with struggled per se with finances and all like but I live with my mom and dad and stuff like I have a house over my head and the roof over my head but uh the thing of not having to do a session in the morning go to work for five hours finish go to another session back to work for two or three hours you know getting rid of that it's just you go to training you come home you take a sleep you go for a walk you eat your field you do what you want it's just it's a big pressure off you when you don't have to walk to be honest with you never mind the weather as well and your mom and dad throw even at home now knowing that they don't have to Fork out you well they were planning on rent me room for I had to shut that down cuz I don't want that they were're going to get us children but we shut that [ __ ] down shout out to AR's parents yeah yeah shout shout out to the whole Derby Clan shout out to the whole Derby CL absolutely love it h chenade if that was if that's something opportunity like that came your way would that be something you'd be interested in doing as well the MMA F Academy yeah I'd hop on that [ __ ] man like they should be doing this stuff for the girls as well so I don't understand why they're not do you know what I mean so because there is high level girls that would would thrive in that situation do you know what I mean so yeah I would love love for something like that to come about hopefully maybe maybe soon maybe not depends I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of girls pop up now in the next few months over there they're only getting going this is the second season so they're only up running six months they had a couple of girls in training a couple of UFC for and stuff so I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of girls come over now the next few months that would be great that would be great yeah that would be great I would like to see that as well um can I just Derby is that is that going to be like shown on TV or how we're going to people going to be able to check that out yeah so probably given information away here I don't know if this be made public or not but apparently I don't know how true it is H Hulu and Netflix bought the rights to it so hopefully it'll be on one of them so basically they're trying to fil them two or three seasons before they release it all so uh hopefully in about six months season one will be out and then two or three months after that season till will be out yeah and then you can go straight to L can't he Russ take man you and red are together man that'd be great any women out there for Reger get on to the boys send application for he's looking to settle down he's a lovely little dog a little POG he's about 3940 and he's Lads of money so get on to the start oh my God what you don't get this crack anywhere else to you you don't and uh hopefully uh schne would a would big performance in here at the weekend we can get H get you on the MMA fight Academy going forward cuz that's what we're looking for uh tell us this what can we expect come for night because uh obviously new team we expect to see a few new uh few new uh Arsenal TS in the Arsenal so what what can we expect come fight night uh at kers 163 I think my whole game has improved a lot you know what I mean I was known as a striker but I think now I'm gravitating more to the wrestling side of things so uh I I expect a high level wrestling I'm hoping that's the way I wanted to go look we're here forward uh that work for Kake bage when she fought ASO in the last last time out so H there there is a blueprint there to get the job doing against her so let's let's see if you can implement it and uh what about yourself Darby uh did George Hardwick show you that left body shot I'm not one for the body shot you now in quite long so I like to go p and T's KN you know yourself to the body but look we walked in a few things and I'm going to show them on Saturday yeah I I I can't wait to see it h it's going to be it's going to be a great h b
