I fight in it if I was a bit more of a typical fire and I thought everybody in exactly and one in the same way people I think people have more respect for me just because I'm a typical fighter and I have a bit of a back and forward and I'm a bit bloodied up after the fight but most of the time I come out unscathed so ya know it looks it looks way too easy yeah I think your parents you you maybe you're not given the credit you're jus because we were at Bellator 200 over and London and like you dismantled David Rickles and you actually made him quit like we were watching go you weirdly quit as well as like actually no they're fine very much you can win and but he has the most voice in Bellator history oh yeah so like you mean to do that someone like him is absolutely incredible yeah and at the end of the day you can only beat the person across me so it is what it is and I think the welterweight division of Bellator could Jeff you talked about the welterweight yes and you'll see yeah no Rory MacDonald's yourself dad don't seem like they're all top four different welterweights in the world regardless of organisation yeah that's another thing to look at what FC people might not you know who they are bored Eddie Alvarez meant over there and lost debut you don't have the name recognition from the forest and to meet you Demetrius Johnson has had a bit of trouble be over there is liked it a lot more than sometimes you've seen in a UFC you can there's there's so many fighters around the world you know have it haven't even been found yet so there's you know people would understand that MMA as a sport that you can be dangerous from and from any organization do you think Bellator muy benefit if they introduced a ranking system yes and no the UFC's ranking system doesn't really exist no I mean I think it more so when they're promoting their fights if you go MVP number one versus you know yeah maybe to tell a story and I think that's where UFC initially had it as but now it's very whoever sells the most is gonna be the one that's flying at the top it doesn't necessarily mean it that a number one-ranked to be there but I think maybe initially to tell the story and to get people aware of the other fighters in you know in the organization maybe they shared yeah be a bit more on top of that I think that was certainly held because I cause we cook the sport we're like how come more people like know what Bellator is yeah I mean like grow the audience and then boy having a list people like okay they'll notice name exactly yeah exactly so yeah probably probably be a beneficial now also in terms of Bellator we're top it's the MMA organization for Europe yeah it really really is you know we have battle towards open twice a year about a tour in London two or three times a year yeah like at the European fan like Bellator is the better a product yeah for all Stephanie yeah did I have a major factor when you chose sign for them no initially no because none of that was none of that was even on a table at the time it's developed over the years into that but at the beginning it was just a massive organization to be a part of and in all in all honesty it was a part it was a way to set myself up to going into the UFC because when I first got into the sport UFC is obviously an goal but things have changed a lot there's so many organizations are climbing up and becoming just as big Bellator being one of them yeah and also you being such a popular fighter as well my name's Garn your own sponsorship and stuff like that and definitely has to be a major monitor with that you same with Bellator yeah I suppose if you go to you see your toilet into a rebuff deal train lower end scale the Reebok the story of how how many males yeah yeah and then your sponsorship goes away so dragon you know if your contractors come up UFC would have to substantially offer you more per fight than battle towards that move I would hope so anyway yeah I hope I've done enough work to you know prove that in any organization that has to be it's tough to be a top spec for everything so but yeah that's what I'm pushing to be that just as a standard just for myself as our own personal brand I should be classes at all and how many boys you have left on your belt or a contract well actually in negotiating with them at the moment yeah so I have my exit like oh I got one more fire with them yeah Oh any idea when you want to have that this year is it yeah well which would be literally going through the stalks and stuff now even while I was away on holiday just had a few stalks and stuff so we're we're we're in the middle of that at the moment so we're just once that's sorted and we'll be back on track getting ready to go yeah that's sport but as of right now I'm very happy and very comfortable where I am it doesn't mean it would never happen I mean I've never closed the door on anybody you know I mean things change all the time and you know for my it depends on my circumstances it's about me what my well being and you know the people around me that I'm taking care of it's about what it means for all of them so I'm side of all the the tool kind of fans is I have to think about me first have you been brought in too many training comes because like you're stole is very original yeah I've gone to different look quite a few different places even for like weirdly enough for the Douglas Lima fire I went to masazi oh did you yeah so I went and I went to their gym over in Amsterdam and did some inspire with those guys and guys really tough over there yeah so yeah it's always good to go around and test your skills he's actually really noisy gave me his belt or 200 other like that's boy you never know cuz you only get to meet people or know who people are through things like this podcast you know like YouTube videos and fights that's not really a just ton of that person's personality what's your take on belt or assign and James Haskell do you think he that's cool for the sport or what's your take this is definitely good for for the sport in terms of numbers but he has to take it seriously and I get to be there firsthand and he actually is if I didn't know that would be my question to him personally that would be my question is he actually doing it for the hype the one or fight just to just because of the cross promotion and the numbers that he can bring in or is he actually in the gym doing the work what do you expect from him oh man he's a beast man he's try and but at the same time he massively respects how difficult it is that well and and he comes from being a top level of his sport yeah and he's still like man I don't know how you guys are doing this day in day out and he's there he got a lot of slack for a leg sign and for a barrel tour and then all of a sudden he was in almost level to get me out here yeah yeah you got a bit of slack for sewing for a belt or and then going on the jungle straightaway yeah it was just opportunities out that kind of fell at his feet he signed for an MMA organization and that was the focus and then he got the opportunity to do that which is good for his brand and then it's good for Bellator born on the flip side as well so yeah he caught I think I read somewhere you got 75,000 pounds going to the jungle I was like I was like well there you go no I mean people forget that is there's there's always a personal gain as well it's not always about and that's what I mean I have to make decisions based on myself first yeah not just to please you know everybody on the outside well like he's got a wife and I'm sure he's got like an example house or like you know you might want to buy the missus a new car there you go we're gonna put on TV for I know whatever there's three or four weeks and there's more you wear something off for me 75 grants to go on to the jungle I be like thanks very much do for half that boy a massive fan of like reality TV shows in general I don't really watch them if I'm giving it again I've never closed the door in it because if I'm giving the opportunity and in that moment it's like you know what actually it's I have to be fairly massively introduced to and a lot of entrepreneurial work a moment I'm doing a lot of work with different trusts and charities merchandise as loads of things are gonna be coming know bad backgrounds and struggling finally difficult to to kind of break out of the system the government's basically giving them a grant to go and do this financial program and it allows them to potentially make quite a good earning for themselves and not have to be on the street doing steepest sleeper stuff so how'd you fall into that again I'm just I'm always like I said I'm always into business and stuff and I like to sponsor a football team and when I spoke to the gentleman I'm speaking seeing it with regard to this business it made sense because the guys in the team a sponsor there it would be perfect for all of those guys and I'm looking to sponsor some some other teams and some other youngsters Kenan Kenan well it's a South London team Kellee mile United and but yeah I just I'm like I'm doing I'm all over the place on the outside and then a lot so I'm trying to do I'm trying to keep pushing and doing a lot more brilliant and just before we wrap things up and obviously you you say you don't know who you're fighting next for how many fights directing you are away from being across from daughter Seema in the rematch oh well I'm hoping it's just one fight yeah I'm hoping my next fight whoever whoever is I fight a show after that is Douglas Seema the obviously you fought Lima ain't trained Mousasi hey was that FICO the reason I went to Musashi initially is because I found him a bigger version of Douglas Leeman so I'm like if I can deal with someone like Musashi in any way shape or form then you know I should be able to deal with Douglas Leeman and I still feel the same he's Musashi is a beast I think where it changes is his ability on the ground I think that's where it changes he's very heavy hit and by hit and he saw it in a way he treated the Rory MacDonald is a it was it was a brave us as a man in that moment I suppose like ma moths never really works but like you know toka Mousasi verse McDonald and then you look at Lima versus you're like you're Daffy sort of leaning towards Mousasi yeah I think knowing times as hint you always lean towards the beer GUI but that doesn't always happen I don't know the boy's name but I know brand of error was the one Fc heavyweight champion fought the lawyer heavyweight champion and he lost I mean then like tynacorp Maeve's I've seen well as a challenge on Jones say but yeah yeah sometimes the smaller guys can be faster and working for me is stylistically as well and because they're so similar wait does then play a massive role yeah I think if they're not if they're two completely different style fighters then way is neither here nor there yeah depending on what style you're fighting in about the fact that they are very similar and they like to stand up they're very like more Thai oriented pushing forward very slowly and this kind of slowly just kind of beats people down you have to you have to give it to the person as heavier yeah always looks like he's ready to go whereas like Mousasi you never know what the sack a guards are going to get that's the only problem and that's the only problem so knee if you get a gay guy that's just not bothered and you've seen it before then anything happened but the Massassi steps in as the one we know for me he's one of the the greatest middle waist of all time yeah in on his day so if you get that if he turns if he turns up then I don't see anybody be in him no I do agree with you i think a one stage when he left to UFC I was there that could be the best spinner bait in the war on my son yeah I don't see him burst out a sign here as well and exactly right for you so he sold tunneled everywhere and he's got so many fights on there yeah it's absolute read about it record looks like a phone number yeah completely agree but a
