what was it like when you heard it was going to be against paddy bye i was good it was good for that sort of i had an idea that cage warriors was probably the next step i didn't really want to fight the roads in small shoes um as a pro i want to just go straight on and play the best about and paddy's probably the best in ireland so get him on the road and then go on the best in europe you know i mean so that's that's the plan and then paddy what was it like when you've uh got to find out you're fighting jordan especially after he had just beat your teammate there okay legacy i was goobro i always i always had this date in mind all year i've kind of knew that they were coming to belfast and i was aiming towards this state so uh it was just perfect once he be tried it was perfect uh he's kids we're asking them most of their faith it's all or bollocks so i'd rather have the bigger kids and you'll see a real scrap you know what i mean jordan you must be licking your lips here in that area he takes the first two steps back in we'll see and then jordan you fought a lot of guys from paddy's gym do you feel like there's some sort of unwritten rivalry now between yourself and fai not really no it's just uh just what happens that a lot of the big guys from around ireland are rfa you know what i mean and they take fights and i mean they're not not [ __ ] they're not scared of sticking fights and stuff like that they're they're no [ __ ] with them they they come out and put on a fight like soon i think that's just the way it works right uh it doesn't really matter where the what killed it from when they got there man it's just there's an artifact at the end of the day just happens to be fa again unfortunately and george do you view this almost like a hometown hometown fight i know you're not originally from belfast but i mean this is one of the possibilities the biggest city closest to your home so do you see this as a hometown fight for yourself i'm saying jordan do you see this as a hometown for yourself and it's gonna be a massive massive crowd coming up road and i'm sure okay parties from belfast as well so it's gonna be even though we're probably gonna be doing the ball but it's going to be a [ __ ] there's going to be a lot of crowd on there already hopefully they put it on the main card be lethal on the main card on all irish middleweight scrap like why not the shoe put it on the main card i do feel like wherever this is on the card i think the arena is going to be full for i think this this could be is this this uh give me sort of reminiscence of ufc london i feel like from start to finish you're going to have you know the fans are going to be interested in every single point in the card like you have to get there half an hour before the first flight and see this car from start to finish because there's going to be some of the top talents across europe and some of the top towns in the uk and ireland on this card it is going to be an absolute banger and paddy obviously you saw the last fight jordan was in against her teammate what did you take away from that fight and was there any areas you thought you could expose in jordan's game i mean uh to be honest man actually i'm not so i'm clueless like i've watched a few of his fates before so i i actually wanted to fade him before troy like before troy i would say in the public i want that favorite jordan o'neill and then troy called him out i was like what the [ __ ] are you doing i want him there is it a stream or something i actually don't know how to watch it is it on middleweight you know what i mean there's not going to be any difference here if anything he's going to pay the price for cutting the middleweight you know what i'm saying i walk a bit i'm i make metal handy so i don't i don't need to be caught in any carbs in running or fake week for a little bit so you'll be getting a [ __ ] fully flared middleweight on the 25th of june john lloyd from uc fly pass as well uh yeah jordan europe this is obviously going to be your your pro debut and paddy has two bodies two and oh now in his professional career like did you see that as like a how much of a disadvantage do you see that has gone into making your debut against someone with two and oh it in in paddy not really it's probably uh the two you know it's on cage conflict like it's not on cage wise you know what i mean it's despite sort of the last guy says it's a resemblance of on kids conflict was coming off i don't know he said um i was chatting there um uh what was that uh is this the fight resembles that ian gary jim sheehan you know in garrick come on improving the cage wireless gmt and having a couple of proof fights and that's the two best prospects from ireland you know what i mean it's sort of the same and i see myself doing an orientation and going on a run after the year that's actually good analogy how do you so he said it's all in kids conflict as if it doesn't mean like a coming out party for you yeah 100 percent let's see like over the lockdown there like two years straight two years in the lockdown and i was training every single day getting people ready to fade on kids words and i wasn't getting the [ __ ] opportunity so it was a nightmare you know i mean going to training every morning every night and not and not being able to fade on these shows so it was always the goal so now that it's finally here i'll be making the most of it you know what i mean and then jordan uh i don't think your amateur record actually tells the whole story because you're actually five now in your last five fights and do you feel like cage warriors recognized that and then saw a potential star on you and then wanted to get you on this card and how do you feel about making that debut on the big stage i think it's right to be honest there's not a there's not a world a lot of mud about even a pro you know in ireland to be fighting on them smaller shoes and i just think it's right i i deserve to be here and i'm going to prove that and that's when he thought that you like hundred percent and then this is gonna catapult me straight forward and the top ranks of cage worse and then just told them that jordan like you said there's not an extremely large amount of middleweights even on the cage warriors roster just yet how many fights think you could be away from actually end up you know in the total contention five fights five really good ones you you're on about title oh and what do you feel paddy how many fates until a title yeah i'm not really trying to run before i can waxy the the main thing for me was clearing out ireland clear out ireland then go europe then go on to the best in the world that's i think that's the best way to do it and that's how you build a we found based on i mean as jordan said there isn't many minowits so i thought i just said myself i'll just clear and clean out all these middleweights at ireland before i start trying to take on the big dogs in europe cajon money and pedro pesca there only took a faint and then obviously jordan was getting a bit of uh momentum and amateur so i knew it would i would eventually be fighting jordan i mean if he was if he was losing these fits i would have no interest in fighting them i want to clear out the best in ireland before i go on to the best in europe and uh eventually the best in the world so after i beat jordan i don't really think there isn't much more middleweights about ireland so then i'll start pushing on them top dogs and cage wares when i look at the kids where's middleweight division it's way to open really like other than uh duncan and your mom will curry the rest of them are the sweetheart doorman so it shouldn't take too many fates to clear them out and then uh paddy obviously you've trained for floyd foys before do you think that will play an advantage cardio was it is a game-changer made in five minutes like i'm sure even if you've sparred for five minutes jordan it's a [ __ ] night and day like it's five minutes is a long time and you really get it's a real scrap when it's when it's five minutes because you get to see everywhere in the scrap like if there's an area where you're not up to scratching it'll be found out over five minutes where sometimes in the moment three minutes like sometimes people just [ __ ] hold [ __ ] against the kids and the raid fades out and you don't really see how the fate would actually play out or who the better fader is they're just raiding around because they're so short but over five you've really found out what it's all about and who's the batter fader so i think the stupid runs i'm a more patient high skilled fitter compared to these [ __ ] many actually be faking amateur just going mad and jordan how do you feel that those five minutes are going to play in and do you feel like dropping down the middleweight will actually increase the gas tank because uh 100 um uh uh just me uh the same as spotting five months just means better you know you can get on you get you can set a rub them get under like you know a way of setting stuff up and actually tactical fighting rather than just gonna blast on each other and try and get the dominant position and then just hold that it's it's it's a better way of fighting this way i love fighting so i'm looking forward and i think it's going to work with my my benefit to be honest and as far as going down the middleweight i'm so um i don't know i don't really say going down a little bit i don't have thought and higher weights and stuff that i'm injured but that's me just just taking fries i could even possibly do it if i wanted so it's but it's going to make me sharper and lighter in the food and the hands are going to be quicker because everything's just going to work very perfectly for not quick enough that's needed to say like this is going to be like i'm we're really excited for this i'm sure everyone tuning in there can't wait to see it like you're poking a huge opportunity making your cage warriors debut in belfast where all the eyes would be on the event as well so like everyone would be tuned in and they'll know the winner's name like full stop after this we'll know when around who's number one like um like the cage wars knew exactly what they're doing matching youtube goes up and like we kind of
