All [Applause] right, everyone. Welcome back. Uh, Akuma Fighting Championship. As you can see, the show is over. But it didn't go without a fight, literally. Um, here I have Mr. Ben the Butcher Johnston. >> Yep. >> Congratulations, Ben. It was brutal. like uh uh I I was doing an interview up here and then you were in the background and we both of us Marco boy we both kept looking back uh just had to stop just to to watch u the brawl that was happening in there. >> Um so first of all congratulations and like how how you feeling like top your head like what's going through your mind? >> Feeling good ecstatic buzzing to get my first pro win. Can't believe I got a submission cuz I'm not a If anyone knows me or trains me, it's not something I go for >> really. >> I would have put I don't know why I went for the submission. I probably if it was me being me completely out of state and tried to strike and finish him with strikes. So I'm buzzing to get the buzzing to get my first pro win against someone like Liam and he's so man that guy hits hard. >> He's he's a tough character for sure. >> I did not expect that striking from him at all. So early in the first round, you you were dropped almost twi like I think it was twice. Three time. Three times. Yeah. Three times maybe. >> What was what was going through your head right there? Because this is a hell of a comeback. >> See when I stuff like that I'm anyone will tell you I'm bit of a I'm a bull. Like if drop if I get dropped I'll get back up and I'll get stuck back in. It wouldn't throw me off, you know, cuz he dropped me. I wouldn't have went I just get straight stuck back into him. Right on. Right on. I fight him a brawler. Did you have a like a g did you have like a plan coming into this or did you just >> take it take his legs away and then I thought he was going to be shooting early and then he didn't that's what me and the coaches thought and then I seen he been in tag and I went >> I didn't expect him to basically strike the whole fight I thought I' done well in the the grappling exchanges I am quite hard to take down anyway. >> Yeah. Um, so you know when he dropped me I was a bit like Jesus Christ what's going on here but I got back up and got the job done. So >> after that first round >> going into the second like how after you had a chat with your corners there like how did you adjust what you or like your overall strategy >> see to be honest I can't even really remember it was wrong like do you know what I just Stephen and Pete were saying to me >> just basically we get my head moving cuz every every time I threw the cafka he was coming straight down the center. >> Yeah, that's how >> every time I threw a kick he was straight down the middle. Hit me with one and he hit hard. >> The hardest I've ever been hit in a fight before was Mafio. Mafio KOed me. >> Mio Yeah, he fight he's legit. >> He hit harder. >> He thinks Yeah, >> I swear to God. >> I've never been hit by either of them, so I'm going to take your word for it. Both both of them hit seriously hard anyway. Put it that way. But I felt like he hit a bit just that we bit harder. >> Right on. >> It was It was nasty. >> Here, do me a favor. Just come right there. >> Okay. Um, so like uh what? >> You weren't expecting to end with a submission. No, >> you got this. Um, is that something you think you're going to maybe take away from this to to you know it's something you can do in a fight? So you're going to we tried uh working on that >> for later fights or what's going >> I always knew I have a bit of ring about me like if you watch any amateur fights you can see like I like cage ring but submission the submission game isn't really my thing but I've been uh I've actually the funny thing about it I've been doing a lot of Muay Thai on the side with my Muay Thai coach Steven Bustard big buster shout out >> so he'll be he'll probably be raging I didn't win my head kicker elbow do you know what I mean he'll be raging I finished that with submission So, but it's definitely and my coach is Steven Murray. He's anybody knows Steven. He's brilliant in the grind. So, he is. So, give him a put the credit for that one. So, >> what what's next on deck for you? >> H Steven wants me to probably fight in September, but me and my fiance have got our weapon book, so I need to get it sorted out and a couple other things need to get sorted out and stuff. So, >> I'll I'll keep it open because you never know. You might come to something nice for me. go. All right. But I'm a holiday in October, so I think anything the rest of year doesn't seem seem sable, especially if my nose is broke, which I think it might be. Oh >> jeez. Well, look, man. Um, I'll keep this short and sweet. It's the end of the night. Everyone wants to go home. I appreciate your time. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Um, just real quick, uh, give our viewers some advice on folks who are interested in combat sports. One of the things I like to do is try to like encourage people to to to start. Yeah. Um like just give someone a quick uh couple sentences there to what you would do to encourage them to to start. >> It'll sort if you're going through anything in your life, whether it be mental or or to do with drugs or anything like that, get into MMA. It'll sort your life out. That's what I done. >> Right. >> So I got into it. So if you're ever going through anything and your head's not straight, get straight stuck into it and it'll sort you out. Then you can have a happy life like me. >> Awesome. Look, I appreciate your time. Congratulations again and until next time. All right. >> Yes. I would argue's great. All right. Um again, thank you very much. >> Yes, brother. Thank you. Heat. Hey, Heat.
