Go back. >> We're back. Uh, Far's Fighting Championship. I have here Mr. R. How do you say your name again? >> Rico. >> Rico. Just Just >> Ro. All right. >> Wasn't that complicated, right? All right. First of all, congratulations, man. >> Nice one. >> Seriously, um, that that was very good. You were >> quite what what's what do I say? You're quite technical with your kicks. I am. >> Um, and then u you're quite you were taller than your opponent and you're able to definitely use that to your advantage. >> Uh, just kind of walk through the fight for me. >> Walk me through it. >> I've just been training a lot like in two different clubs. I go to KMT as well and in SPG Cork, I'm there every day. KMT I'm there two days a week doing Muay Thai. And then in SPG I do MMA like and then I be coming in three days a week. every day. Not every day, but six days a week and then Monday rest. Just been training a lot. >> Well, it certainly shows for sure. Um, what was it like when you got in the cage? Um, and you know, you you were there. Uh, the ref, you know, he says fight like what was what was going through your head? >> This fight was different. I don't know why. I was just ready. It was more ready than any other fight. >> Yeah. >> But like I was expecting a finish, but I just didn't get that. >> I think I I got kind of tired in the fight. Like I wasn't really focused on cardio that much. I have to focus on that more next time. Right on. >> Was it a good uh result at the end? >> I'm hardly sweating now. So, >> I'm actually not I don't even sweat easily. >> Um Okay. So, like just walk like walk us through uh like you you got a couple of significant strikes. >> Um like just what was that like? Like is that something you were uh expecting or planning on? Um like what was you know what was going through your head? >> I was uh I was trying to get head kicks cuz in my mind I was I was just imagining a head kick. >> Got a couple good ones there. >> Yeah. Good for you. But then um I started seeing the knees were doing way more damage and landing a lot more. Like the left knee was landing on the liver a lot. So now I started using that and it was working. And then I was just too tired to throw up the head kick and time or something or like use do a combo to get that head kick but like I just kept pressuring him pressuring him. >> Yeah. >> Right on. Um is at at one point your gum guard came out. >> It came out. Yeah. I don't I think I just wasn't biting down on my thing. >> Okay. >> Like usually I had to be clenching my teeth but that time I just wasn't. He caught me a good shot. >> Right on. It happened. It was towards the end of the round as well. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Um, >> was it hit out of your mouth? Cuz I I missed that. >> It was hit here. >> Yeah. >> Just flew. I was like, "Okay." Like, and I just kept going cuz I didn't want to look like I was hurt. So, I just kept my hands up, kept bouncing out like that. >> You put it in, kept going like, >> "Yeah." Know it was funny sitting on the sidelines watching cuz you didn't even you didn't break composure at all. Locked eyes and then the ref came in, threw it back in. >> I couldn't have him get excited. Yeah. Yeah. >> Um, okay. Okay. So, like was there was there any uh point in that fight where you knew was like yes like this is I got this. No big deal. >> Not from the start, bro. Like I knew I was winning. Like I even I was telling everyone if I lose I'm going to give you double the money you pay for your ticket. Like cuz I was that confident in winning. >> And then I still won but I just wanted a knockup but like next time I'll get the other. >> Heck yeah. Um, what is it that like what do you what do you do what do you do differently or what what did you do differently preparing for this fight? >> Lots of rounds every like this time I came in in the morning a lot >> AJ he fought as well. I think he was the fight before me. Yeah. Yeah. AJ White House he won his fight as well. Decision. >> Me and him been training 6:00 a.m. every morning like for a few weeks like >> back. >> So that's what I've been doing differently. has been coming in more and like a lot like cuz I used to I used to not train as much as I did for this fight like cuz I knew about it well ahead and I invited so many people like >> so I can't let them know >> you had you had quite the crowd there that was that was there for like what's it like uh kind of being able to deliver for a crowd that came here to see you >> man feel good feels good like yeah >> cuz I promised them a good fight and I gave him a good fight so I'm happy about that >> like it was a great fight >> um like I said you you were able to you control the whole pretty much controlled the whole fight Yeah. >> Um, >> you were able to throw several significant shots with your hands and you landed uh quite a few kicks as well. >> Um, did you take any damage yourself? >> I don't think so. Like I'm not hurt. I'm only hurt on my feet cuz I I've been kicking the feet. Like >> that's about it. My head doesn't hurt. Like I I know he hit me a good few shots in the head. I felt my head moving. >> Yeah. >> But there's no pain at all. Like it's just my feet hurt. >> Maybe maybe tomorrow. >> Maybe hopefully not tomorrow. So, you know, like >> so, uh, like like walk us through like what what's, uh, what's the rest of the year hold for you? You fighting again or? >> Yeah, I'll definitely fight. I might even fight in is it two weeks? My birthday's on the 20th, five, six days after MMA leagues. >> Okay. >> I'm going to do that. It's for championship belts like cuz I want I want want to get a belt. >> Maybe next week as well. Like there's a Sandy Open. I'm still I'm active but because there's still um >> I'm still a youth so there's a competition next week. youth Sandy Open or something. So, I could just do that. Get another belt. On the 26th, another belt. And then on December, what is it? 9th, I might have a kickboxing fight up in Dublin. I'm trying to get a C-class fight. So, no Shingard. >> Awesome. >> It's up in Dublin. So, we'll see how that goes. >> That's great. >> I definitely have a few more fights for this year. Like, I'm not done at all. >> Heck yeah. It's great to stay active, especially when you're so young. It's uh you get that experience in which is critical. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Um All right. Look, man. I appreciate your time. Congratulations again. >> Thank you. >> All right. Um, and I hope to talk to you again soon. Okay. Of >> course. >> Um, keep up the good work. Uh, you want to shout anything out or >> n me? Shout out to SPG Cork and KMT. Knock them right. >> All right. Right on, brother. All right. Uh, until next time. Okay. >> Until next time. >> All right. See you later, dude. >> Active. Heat. Hey, Heat.
