All right, everyone. Welcome. Uh, Battle Combat Series here with Oliver Marshall. Uh, first of all, dominant performance. Tell me about it. I mean, I just I I went in there with aggression. I wanted to get a finish, you know, wanted the bonus, but um yeah, I just I wanted to prove myself after the the hardships I had in Serbia at the European Championships. Excellent. Yeah, you were it was excellent combinations like all over the place. Um one, you know, left right kicks. I think at one point in time there was a couple spinning that was pretty fancy stuff in there. Um you how do you how do you practice like obviously you know you go to the gym and practice but like how do you practice those uh particular moves? Um, I just, you know, I I've watched a lot of videos and I've been inspired by, you know, successful professional mixed martial artists and, you know, got a lot of great training partners who I work with who push me hard and that's all it's how I improve. Excellent. Um, so you went in, this was three rounds. Were you expecting it to be three rounds or Yeah, I prefer the three rounds. Gives me more time to dominate. Absolutely. It's more experience as well. Yeah. I think a lot especially uh younger and newer uh folks want to you know finish finish in the first round but they don't you really want to get that experience so it's good that you were you know kind of hoping for that. Um did you have like a plan coming into this or uh my plan was to just start off heavy shots and then control the round on the feet and then just to um just to secure the round get a takedown and I did that in the last round and I got the Americana finish which was brilliant. Yeah, you did several good takedowns, big takedowns as well. Um, is that something you trained to do? Cuz like you just you lifted them up nearly over your head and just dropped them down. Wrestling is one of my my strong points. Definitely one of my strongest. I take anybody down. Were you a wrestler before, you know, kind of jiu-jitsu or MMA? No, I just have, you know, great uh wrestling coach, Joe Beck. Right on. and just, you know, I I love his coaching and his style. And then, you know, if you get a coach that you love, that that's how you get into it and then that's how you improve more. Right on. Um, how old are you now? Uh, 13. Oh my goodness. Um, so what do you want to be when you grow up? I mean, uh, as you could see in my professional. So, yeah. Okay. So, you want to you want to make this a career? Yeah, that's that's the dream. No. Okay. So, you're 13 years old. You have clearly a bright future ahead of you. Um you know so next for you uh next for you is Abu Abu Dhabi World Championship. Um you know what is it that you are going to do to train I guess a little bit differently for Abu Dhabi as compared to how you you know train for anything else. So right now I'm trained constantly 6 days a week one to two sessions a day for Abu Dhabi. I'm going into this thing called a training camp where you amplify your training, watch what you eat and just you're focused and that's definitely going to help with the summer is school's off so I have more time to just focus all on this. Awesome. And then go out there prove what I can do once again and leave a world leave Abu Dhabi a world champion. All right. So speaking of school, uh school's equally important. I'm sure I'm sure your parents probably tell you this all the time like you got to you got to pay attention in school as well. Um, so what is it about, you know, combat sports in general that you can apply to school and your education? Um, just that any mistakes that you make, you evolve and you work. If you can acknowledge your mistakes and know how to fix them, that will help you in all areas of life, not just mixed martial arts. Yeah. Perfect. Uh, do you have a obviously I'm I'm confident your parents are going to push you to go to college. Do you have a uh um like a something you like to study? Um quite like history. Okay. Music. Um Alexander O Sullivan. He's got a history degree and he's a well decorated fighter as well. So it's definitely something you could do%. Look, I appreciate your time and I I look forward to uh seeing you go to Abu Dhabi. I'm going to I'll be watching those. So yeah. All right, man. Congratulations on tonight's victory and uh best of luck with everything. Okay. Thank you. Come back. Let's go. [Music]
