Verde 6 goes down this Saturday, August 22nd in Healy Park, Oma, one of the highlights of the
Irish Mixed Martial Arts calendar and the hottest show in what's been a very, very hot summer.
Some belts up for grabs. I'm joined here by some of the stars of the undercard and one of those,
to my right, Ucha Ladderishvili, is fighting for one of these against Ben Doherty Rowe next
Saturday. Ucha, how excited are you to have the opportunity to get one of these over your shoulder
leaving that fight next week? I'm buzzing for it. I'm buzzing for it. I feel like last two fights
were potentially could have been titled for it as well. I've been trying to get on the EFC
card to try to get that super lightweight at the vacant belt but I wasn't able to get matched so
I'm finally finally able to fight for a title and wasn't for it. Coming up on a year since the
amateur debut and like we spoke about earlier this has been growing and you've been really
putting in the work and taking on the bigger challenges. Ben Dardy Rowe who's a big ass
challenge for any man to take on in that cage, a guy who hits incredibly hard. What do you know
about your opponent? I know he's a big boy. I know I always make it 70 for you but it is whatever,
do you get me? I know I'm going to be faster, I'm going to be whatever. All around I think I'm
a better fighter. So I'm just excited to get in there, excited to show what I've kind of worked
for the foods and my label kind of a thing and yeah I'm just going.
In the words Jimmy Cliff, the harder they come, the harder they fall, this belt to come
out of there with this belt wrapped around your waist next week, what way are you envisioning
that happening?
To be honest I want to strike, I want to strike, he might look at me, think I'm a grappler,
just a grappler but as I said I'm an MMA fighter and well-rounded everywhere and I just want
to show off kind of the skills I've picked up in Stroydton. My case, my boxing, all around
I think I just want to get them out through that kind of avenue. Stroydton.
Super support. Predictor to knock out.
Hopefully.
