92 fights. Two cages. Hundreds of athletes, coaches, parents and supporters all under one roof.

When we started the Belfast Junior MMA League, the vision was simple: create a safe, professional and developmental platform for young athletes. Yesterday felt like another huge step towards that vision.

People see event day. What they don’t see are the months of planning, matchmaking, posters, registrations, waivers, schedules, sponsorship, logistics and late nights. Every fight, every match-up and every detail is handled by a two-man team, supported by an incredible group of staff, volunteers and people who believe in what we’re building.

A massive thank you to every coach, athlete, parent, referee, medic, staff member, volunteer and supporter who played a part.

Most importantly, thank you to our sponsors. Your support allows us to continue raising standards and reinvesting into the league. This event saw our biggest reinvestment yet, including the addition of a brand-new competition cage, helping us create a better experience and more opportunities for the next generation of athletes.

We are incredibly proud of what was achieved, but we’re also perfectionists. We’ve already identified areas to improve and have exciting plans for the next event. Every show is another opportunity to learn, grow and continue building the future of youth MMA in Ireland.

This sport has produced world champions from Belfast. The next generation is already coming through.
